I followed the troubleshooting tree in the manual...

I JUST replaced the ECM in my wife's 81. Bought the car for her last month. SES light was on, and jumping the ALDL retrieved nothing. Unplugging battery did not reset the SES light. $87 for a rebuilt NAPA ECM and light went away and all is good... Car runs much better and no more light...

agreed... Wonder if a piece of rubber hose would make an acceptable replacement being that the orig plastic bendy piece isnt available...

Am considering rebuilding the carb in my wife's 81 C3. Who here has done this? Any pointers? How much did you spend for the rebuild kit? It's either rebuild it, or replace it with a 600 cfm Edelbrock and bypass the ECM. Since car is completely stock, I am leaning toward the rebuild of the...
