Thanks for the response dlt4. Glad to hear mine is in the normal temp range on both counts. At some pointm I will probably change the thermostat & adjust the PCM so the fans kick in a littler earlier.

I recently purchased a 1996 LT4 with 46,000 miles that is bone stock. In regards to the coolant tempature I have 2 questions.
1. At constant speed on the highway mine stays right at 205 degrees. Is that normal?
2. Under normal circumstances, how hot should the tempature get before the fans...
I haven't been out much lately because of the Holidays, home improvement projects, blah blah. Periodically, I will go to some of the local car shows or get togethers with my brother & some of his friends in the Cougar/Mustang clubs. Shoot me an email sometime if you hear of any good events...
Just out of curiosity, where did you have your SNAT 435 dyno'd? About 1.5 years ago I had my ZR-1 Dyno'd at a place in North Richland Hills & the tech shut it off at 6k rpms.
