The other day I noticed a "clicking" sound almost like arcing coming from the distributor. The engine is running fine. The cap and rotor are less than a year old but I replaced the rotor anyway. Any ideas?

You probably already did this but look at the cap terminals to see if the rotor is contacting any of them, caused by too much end play.
Also check for carbon tracking inside the cap which is a sign of the spark grounding to something other than the cap terminals. Also look around the cap and plug wires at night with the lights off and engine running for arcing between or from the plug wires or carbon tracking down the outside of the cap.
