I have a heated 4 wire o2 out of a last generation Buick Roadmaster. Works great! Make sure you have no air leaks. I tapped into the windshield wiper motor switch. There is a hot wire that comes on when the ignition is turned on.
Do you have a heated o2 installed now? Your sig says you do.
No problem, it will come out fine. I cut my air filter lid many years ago. It will be easier to cut if you have a rotating cutting wheel tool (forget exact name) form home depot, but the dremel will do fine. I too used a dremel when I cut my air filter lid.
The air filter lid is cut from...
the airbox is the piece that your stock air filter goes in. It sits on top of the radiator connected to the throttle body?
Just use the dremel tool to cut it and take your time. Draw a line around the area where you will cut.
Been looking for a replacement 700R4, as mine has a valve body problem that causes the car to not shift when the trans warms up. Car shifts fine with cold trans fluid.
For $1445 Performa Built transmissions says it can handle 700RWHP which is about 850 flywheel hp and the trans has all the...
Common C4 issue. Check around, but you need new leaf springs to correct the ride height, or switch to coil overs, or get a lowering kit from mid america and lower the entire car and set the corners correctly.
I agree 100%
I should have purchased a 6 speed car (or 4 + 3) in the first place. Oh well!
Hopefully my car will sell soon so I can pick up another vette (LT4 C/E)
the more I think about it, the more I realize that I do not have the time, nor want to swap in a zf 6 speed. I'de rather just by a new car with a 6 speed in it.
Thanks!
Well since nobody wants to give me what my car is worth (listed in c4 for sale section) and im tired of blowing up 700R4 (destroyed my 2nd one) im looking at installing a 6 speed. In particular a ZF 6 speed.
I have no knowledge of how manual gear box hydraulics and such work. If I could find...
With your mods I would not get the 4.10 gear. A super ram is not the ideal setup for those gears...even with a 6 speed.
Now if you had a single plane or miniram manifold and more cam i'de go for it.
:beer
great package! Now that I think about it, I *bet* my '85 had a wiped cam lobe back in '1999. It would foul the same spark plug every time....generally within a week or less.
A properly planned package can yield great results!
I rec. an ASP underdrive crank pully to get to the 300rwhp mark...

I have four of these, one for each tip.
*EDIT*
Holy s*&$, please...
magnaflow has mufflers with a 3" inlet for the C4 Corvette. Also flowmaster and dynomax.
I have a set of 3" in and 3.5" out dual angle tip chrome exhaust tips if you like.
im going to pull the governor and have it fixed at a local trans shop. Seems pretty easy to pop out with a screw driver. I'll also take this time to put in a new filter and change the trans fluid.
As long as the trans continues to work im happy!
