Why wouldnt you follow whats posted on the sticker in your car? Over or under inflating your tires can either wear them early or ruin your fuel mileage or be actually dangerous..:confused ;squint:

Without knowing all the details, i would think, the rheostat might be getting warm or the switch itself, if it functions well after cooling down. I would test this theorie by running it in all settings while cold, then heat up the car if you can and do the same, see if that makes any...
