Does your speedo work? if not check your speed sensor, my car did the same thing and it would stall every so often...just a guess, but worth a try.

Check the rubber line that goes to the map sensor on the rear of your plenum... may have come off or have a crack in it.

for a factory original 93 ZR-1?

There must be a big variance in power for these cars. I have run "4" different Z06s with my "stock other then K&N" 90 ZR-1 at the strip, 9 minutes from my home...and have beat them by as much as 1/2 car in the 1/4 mile 12.6 @ 114

Buy a ZR-1, drive it, enjoy it, and in ten years you should get what you paid for it (if it is taken care of)...Not an investment, "but you shouldn't loose on it either" especially with prices like we are seeing right now! Not a bad deal, other then Harleys, not too many vehicles you can do this...

hmmmmmm yes that thought did cross my mind "two girls is always better then one", however the car is stored for the winter. I thought perhaps if someone else had fixed the same problem, and knew where to look, I could tackle it this while it is stored.

I have a rattle behind the drivers seat in my 90 ZR-1. I have looked at the cargo shade, rear speakers, rear glass struts and even the wiring for the antenna...cant find it. The rattle almost sounds like wires for the interior light right behind my head are hitting the plastic "halo panel"...

What about a regular windshield with a light tint on the inside and cut the cutout on the bottom..............would that work? should look the same. Not an option for the low milage all original cars... but for the drivers out there this might work..........what do you think?. Has anyone tried this?

Well... I'm not sure if they were put on at the factory in 93 or not. My 90 has them on both panels and the 93 on only one. Did the last oner put them on or did the one panel get missed???. Not really a big deal, I know they are both the original panels for this car so its kinda weird.

I taped the gas door on my 90 and went for a long drive and seemed to fix the problem. I cut down the rubber bumpers so the gas door will fit flush with the velcro on top of them. I then cut two round pieces of velcro and glued them to the bumpers and the gas door. No more rattling and thumping...
