FIRST CALLAWAY AWARDED NCRS McLELLAN AWARD

CONGRATULATIONS! Having been through this process with my '69 (for that era it's called the Duntov Award, but it is the same process), I can definitely appreciate this feat. It takes quite a car and owner to make it all the way through the process. You are correct, the PV is definitely the...

    Is it just me?

Very cool! I didn't know you had done this. I just ordered my copy.

...not only is the Sledgehammer 1 mph faster, it apparently handles/brakes better ~

Apparently someone in town has ordered one of these. I found this write up on the local Scottsdale Exotic Car Club forum on his factory tour/ordering experience. I thought it was an interesting read and some great photos. http://www.scottsdaleexoticcarclub.com/forum/showthread.php?t=2065 My...

    Is it just me?

I ran across another book that has a photo of my car in it - The Standard Catalog of Corvette, 2nd Edition. This is the 4th or 5th book I've found, and in all but one, the car is identified wrong. I've seen it identified as a Series II Speedster, a CR1, or, in this case, a 1992 Callaway...

    Dealer says no deal...

Except that, if I'm not mistaken, it isn't required that you buy a Callaway from an authorized DEALER. I believe you can purchase your Corvette at any dealer, and work with Callaway directly on the conversion. The difference would probably be that the car would not be drop shipped to Old Lyme...

The COG and Corvettes @ Carlisle

Absolutely outstanding! Thanks Luigi for putting this together. What a great idea for a fund raiser. I've already submitted my request, and I'll get the checks off to you first of the week.

    Video: SC580 sighting!

Where abouts in AZ? The Callaway dealer here (Van Chevrolet) is only a few miles from my house.

    Now they've gone too far...

...with a pair of Callaway Speedster cuff links. http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&item=170235722408&ssPageName=ADME:B:SS:US:1123 Correct me if I'm wrong (because if these are actually some rare Speedster collectible, I'll be all over it), but those Speedsters on the cuff links...

    New Callaway Addition

Beautiful car! I watched it go across the block on the auction webcast as a no-sale. I'm glad you were able to work out a deal afterwards. Congratulations on your new addition!!

Callaways @ Vettes on the Rockies 7/31-8/3

Ugh - I didn't know this show was coming up. Too bad they're full, I might have been able to make that one with the car. It's a bit too far to drive up just to look around, unfortunately. Is it held this time of year each year?

    Funding my next Callaway

Yes, my strong preference is for a convertible, although I did think about that coupe long and hard. Also, the coupe is a '90, and I would really prefer a '91. No luck on selling the '63 yet. :ugh I must have missed this when you posted it. You have a PM.

Now this would look great in my garage...

1984 LeMans Callaway Corvette Race Wheel and Tire. This is part of Corvette and LeMans History. Callaways Corvette was the fastest GT2 car in the LeMans Race. He is superstious and used the tires and wheels again in 1994. The history is on Google. The tire and wheel is just as it came off the...

    *Callaway Corvettes For Sale Thread*

No sale at $29K. I believe the auctioneer said it would take somewhere in the low $30's to buy the car.

New COG home page - welcoming?

I just went to the COG site and saw the new home page with this photo: And the welcome message: The Callaway Owners Group (COG) welcomes all the new Supercharged Callaway Corvette and C16 Owners to our family. Think maybe the 'Absolutely No Entry' sign should be edited out, or am I seeing...

    Leake Auction has a consignment...

I was there. Your auctioneer hammered that car sold pretty quickly, in my opinion. As soon as he got the reserve, he called it sold. I was trying to place a bid, but your floor guy was looking at the auctioneer instead of the crowd. By the time I got his attention, it was gone. Pretty...
