I was wondering if anyone could tell me how to adjust the pop up hatch where the convertible top folds back. Mine sticks up a little too much in the back. The is no adjustment to lower the height, if i wanted to raise it I could shim it where it connects to the hinges. I know that it should...
Does anyone know of a registery for 75's. I saw a great one for 70's that had photo details for all sorts of projects. This could be a great place to get detailed information about specific problems. Not to say that CAC is not the best but a site specific to 75's could be a gold mine.

Today I purchased a 20 lb. sandblasting machine that works off of my shop compressor. I got it at Harbor Freight for $45 and would only be for personal use and probably not hold up under comercial use. I was just wondering if anyone has used one to sandblast an engine while it was still in the...
You should be able to go to your local parts house and get the belt you need. I was really suprised at the items I have been able to buy over the counter with "in stock" merchandise. I just purchased a new a/c belt for my 75 and the guy walked in the back and carried the new one out. My advise...
Rain water?
:confused I don't understand. You said rain water is getting into the interior. My question is how is the rain water getting into your enclosed garage and under the car cover? I too own a 1975 L48 but it is a convertible. If I happen to get caught in a rain storm (because weatherman...
Thats it Ken! The previous owner removed the cat. and converted to true duel exhaust so I never thought of that. I swear, there is nothing that can't be discovered here on CAC!!!!!!!!!!!!
Thanks again Ken.

I don't know the prices but check this supplier. This is the kind of system I was talking about.

I found the web site Robin was talking about:

Don't know if I would buy tires online but if you have a Tire Kingdom in RI I would check there. I have priced around and they beat anybody else in town. Stay with the name brand and make them beat the price of the lowest price you can find.

Several months ago I saw a link on a posting that connected to a supplier that had an a/c upgrade for C3's. This upgrade converted the old bulky compressor with a modern more effencent type. The kit came with everything needed and was around $1200 for everything! I thought that I bookmarked...
I tried to find the link but couldn't locate it right now but do a search here for a/c and maybe you can. there was an update a/c kit for the vettes that replaced the old, bulky compressor with the newer modern style. the kit came with everything and i do mean everything! all of the brackets...
i am in the process of putting new insulation under my carpet and ran into something strange. Under the passengers seat there looks like some kind of access door that is sealed with a redish bondo looking stuff. Is this factory or has something been done under here? It looks ok and there doesn't...
I need a little help trying to figure something out. I know that in 1975 Chevrolet built 4629 Corvette convertibles. I also know that in 1975 Chevrolet painted 1268 Corvettes Steel Blue. What I can't find out is how many of the 1268 Corvettes, that were painted steel blue, were convertibles...

I want to change or rechrome one of the outside door handles on my 75. I don't guess that I can get this off without taking the whole thing apart? I know if i get in there something else is going to break or come off. Any suggestions?
Andy
if it is an auto trans., do you have the gear shift in neutral? The console will not come off if it is up in park. You have to turn the key and the buzzing (key alarm) can drive you nuts.
Andy
ps; you also have to loosen the e-brake console and slide it back a little.
thanks
:beer , I knew that someone out there would have the answer! Thanks red70vette. I thought about using regular dye but wondered about rub off. I am going to give it a try.
Andy
I don't even know if this is possible but does anyone know of a carpet dye that I can use to make my carpet black again. The carpet is in good shape but just faded. Even the rubber part under the drivers heal is in good shape. Thanks,
Andy;help
Ok, I need some information. I finally got the hardtop from the guy I bought the car from for my 75 . Putting the top on for the first time went fairly easy (since I had no instructions). My problem came when I tried to put in the headliner. It was in very good condition with very minor...
Roy,
I thought about the Slick 50 issue after I put it in. I don't know what I was thinking when I put it in. I am going to suck it all out and start all over with the GM additive and GM gear oil. If this doesn't fix the problem I will start trouble shooting the rearend.
Thanks for all the...
