Thanks Barry - I am leaning more towards the air intakes rather then the windshield myself. I will check those areas tonight. Been following your progress. Won't be long now. I hope to have mine back on the road in about a month. Just not enough time.
Steve
After the recently completed paint job on my 66 coupe, had the professionals install the new windshield (couple months back). Gave it a good bath last night and discovered major water on the front floor. New rubber seal looks fine. Was not there for the install so, don't know if any sealant...
Anybody have a picture of the hole in the right side inner fender well for the wiring from the front turn signal to pass through to the wiring harness? I replaced the fender well and did not expect the new one not to have the hole - dumb! Thanks,
Steve
Paul - would like to say yes but, after Bonnie having her third major surgery since we met up with you last year, the Corvette work is fit in on a not too regular basis. I am coming down the home stretch. Working on getting all the electronics back in operation then on to all exterior trim...
Barry - thanks for the info. Already was prepared with the proper rear shims. Been following your progress. Let me tell you that the buffing makes all the difference. I have just finished mine - after many hours - but what a difference. Absolutely minimal orange peel - lots of shine. it...
Mark - I wasn't totally clean. I dripped some juice from the hot peppers on my nice new shirt. Also, your 65 was so clean, I would have had to crawl arround on the ground like Bill to get dirty. Great day and lots of time for B/S. I liked Rob's comment about the 64 we rolled in as the next...
Way to go Paul. With the progress you have made, I think all you must be doing is work on vette, go to real job, work on vette, go to real job - oh yeah - sleep some time. Wish you could make it to VNV's body drop. We could critique and eat Mark's food all day.
Steve.
Mark - I will be there. You have mail or was it a PM - I get them confused. I will also be sporting a fully restored, numbers matching NCRS certified Powell's Super Service t-shirt to bring back some old memories.
Steve
I figure as long as my neighbor starts up his Ford 350 dually Diesel at 6:00 am - the gloves are off! I start up my 66 big block with side pipes any time I want - so long as its OK with the wife.
I have really enjoyed your progress updates - drive that baby!!
Steve
Way to go Paul! You have really made great progress since I saw you in Oct. (?) I think. Keep the info and pics coming. I am just about finished polishing out the clear coat on my 66. I hope to have the reassembly completed by July 1st. A parade on the 4th is a good possibility.
Steve
Thanks Mark - as you say tools and some limited expertise are not the issue - looking for your experience and parts source. Thanks for the info. Put me on the list for the body drop. You do know how to throw a party!!
Steve
Mark - looking good!! If you had to do the steering box all over again - what would you do? I have to redo mine - way too much slop - and would appreciate your 'expertise'.
Just got a Bend-Pak sissors lift - no more backaches while trying to buff the sides of the new paint job!!
