If you want maximum value, I'd find a 2011 to 2013 base C6 Coupe someone wants to jettison for cheap and use that as a platform to build up one helluva monster sports car. Especially if one is young. And it can be done as time and $ permit. Just a thought.

I just came back from BJ's with a 24 box of the feathered swiffer dusters. I also remembered I have their floor sweeper cloths, too. I wonder how those would work. The work great on the outside of the rims. Perhaps tied to the handle, they'll work well on the insides, too...

The nose of the C6 'vettes is of a very flexible material and there's really little or no support structure in that area. The nose isn't made of SMC or CF, but, of a very flexible kind of plastic. I'm sure mine would show the same thing. Especially going over rough roads.

LLC5: So far, I haven't had any problem with the head rotating on me. It stays locked in position. But, I think the idea of tie wrapping a MF cloth around it is interesting. I was debating on getting a ZR-1. But, I decided on a Z06, instead. Haven't regretted it at all. That $37K price spread between the MSRPs was too scary for me.

Ok..So I don't feel like dragging out the hose and the bucket to clean my rims. I have those huge spider 18" & 19" rims that one can see into the next century through. And my brakes make a TON of dust. I use a splitting wheel duster that works well on the outside and the spokes, but, won't fit...

After driving mine tonight, it just reinforces why this car is so popular. But, lets not forget those ladies with exquisitely good taste who are owners, too. There's a few of them at the club I belong to and they're just a passionate about their Corvettes as we lunk headed guys! :Steer

From what I've read, the average age demographic for the Corvette is 58. At the club I belong to, I can hear the grunting noises as owners get into and out of their cars...;LOL

I remember when GM was fixin' to go out of business back around 2008 and the executives went to Washington to meet with politicians to beg for TARP funds. They came in their company jets. I guess if it would've been me, I'd have arrived in the latest model Corvette, Cadillac CTS-V or something...

I own one of the specialty C6s. It's a incredibly choice selection for the $. But, watch out, once you go C6, you may not want to go back...just sayin'....

Too much of the 14th floor is loaded with executives who look at their products just as 'UNITS.' Not one whit of passion for what they make. It's a huge downfall in attitude, imo. But, it's been like that ever since Sloan was in charge...if not even before him!
