Not much of a motorcycle guy, but when I was 12 years old, in 1969 a friend of my father pulled up to our house
in a brand new corvette. I saw that thing and man my jaw dropped to the floor, it was beautiful, and I was hooked.
Then in 1984 the C4 was introduced and it was amazing. I was...
I took my 96 polo green LT4 out over the weekend for the first time in a few months. She fired right up on the
first crank, let her warm up a few minutes, then took off for a 30 minute cruise to nowhere. (Love that Corsa)
As I was driving I could here the suspension in the rear make a noise...
Thanks B17Crew,
I had to meet the photographer, Richard Prince, at a local beach parking lot at 5:30am so he could get some shots of the car as the sun came up.
He took hundreds of pictures with several different cameras, and it took about 5 hours. This was the weekend before we had that big...
There is a very interesting article in the latest issue of Corvette Magazine (June "13) concerning the C4's
significance in Corvette history. It covers all C4's, and has some great pictures of a nice Grand Sport Coupe.
That beautiful example happens to be GS#917 owned and operated by yours...
Hello Man in Black. How's it going in Pa. these day. I think it may be a little slow here on this
site occasionally but in general I Like the pace, and the info you get here is top notch.
If you happen to get the current issue of Corvette Magazine, check out a very interesting article they di...
Hi Bruce, Beautiful car. Good luck with it. I see you are on Long Island. You should
consider taking the car to be judged by NCRS. The local NCRS chapter is the "Metro LI Chapter".
Check out the web-site metroli.org. The next meet is at Exotic Classics in Syosset on April 21. They will...
Hi Scott, Welcome to the forum. Sorry to here about your car but I am sure GM will take care of it for you.
Just speculation on my part but it sounds like you may have dropped an exhaust valve. I thought GM fixed
the valve guide issue on the LS7 engine by 09??
In any case have your local...
Very nice CE. I loved the LT4 since I first drove my polo green 96 in 99. You will not be disappointed
with the performance. Good luck with it, and welcome aboard.:thumb
I have had pretty good results from a product called Weiman Glass top cleaner. It's actually used to clean glass top
ranges in the kitchen. It goes on like a liquid wax, hazes over, then you buff it out. Use it sparingly.
I used Mothers clay bar, and then Mothers California Synthetic wax on my Polo Green LT4 and was very pleased. It made the
color much deeper I thought, really pops.
Welcome aboard Jeff. You got yourself one special lady to buy you a 95 vert. Post some pictures when
you get time. You will find very knowledgeable people here to answer any of you questions. Good luck with
your new ride.
Both my 96 LT4's run @ a constant 195 as per the digital gauge. As Hutch says, the analog gauge
is hard to comprehend exactly what the temperature is.
You may need to have the car burped, kinda like a 2 year old.:D
I bought my 96 polo green LT4 in 99 with 15k miles on it. At 18k I needed a water pump. I had an extended warrenty
so I didn't have to pay but 3 years later @ 25K the water pump began to leak from the weep hole. Antifreeze would
leak onto the belt, splatter all over the hood, and cause the...
I agree with John, we need a few more details about the car to give you an assesment.
The lights staying on could also be the switch in the door. They don't seem to last that long. If
you continue to hear the the door looks cycle on and off chances are its the switch in the door.
Do the...
Welcome aboard SFZo6.
Sorry to hear about your ordeal but I am glad you got the car back in one piece.
Let us know when you drive it if everything checks out.
Moral of the story, DRIVE THE CAR MORE.:thumb
