Help! Cluch / Muncie whirring noise!!!

Don't forget to check the easy things first. If the spring under the clutch linkage is missing or broken the throwout bearing will make noise. Once I replaced mine the bearing noise went away.

    Carb and Distributor Recommendation

I have the 670 Holley Street Avenger carb on my car. My cam and engine specs are fairly close to yours. I put the yellow spring in it and it hits as hard as a mech. secondary carb. I've been happy with it.

What does this vacuum hose connect to?

Without taking the dash apart. I "think" the hose goes behind the center gauges and to a round vacuum canister under the radio that is used for the ventilation control panel.

What does this vacuum hose connect to?

I'm trying to get my wiper door to work and my PO had this line going behind the distributor and connected to the yellow hose that is supposed to go to the wiper door relay. I'm pretty sure the hose connects to the HVAC system under the dash. The AIM is hard to follow because it shows the 69...

SUSPENSION UPGRADE FOR SBC350 roller cam+ weiand144 supercharge

I would worry more about the strength of the rear end and the stock axles before the suspension, although I have been drooling over that new RideTech suspension lately.

Got a 1974 stingray and need some advice please

Your Q-jet looks good,it just may need some adjustment. I would replace that front valve cover breather with an actual PCV valve. Your engine may act like it has a vacuum leak if that breather doesn't have some kind of check valve in it. If you are set on Edelbrock stuff, I would go with the...

Question: Pre 73 chrome bumper add on?

Custom image corvettes sells a kit to do the chrome bumpers on the rear( not sure about the front)but it is VERY labor intensive and would be more expensive than buying a 68-73 car. It does look kinda cool on the 78 and later cars with the big back glass.

    77 fuel lines

A return line is even more important with this ethanol gas we are forced to use now. You can get a stock AC Delco pump from your local parts store.

Question: Heavy Duty Cooling- How did this work?

You asked about a high flow water pump. I'm running a Stewart stage 1 pump in my Vette. Its just a stock casting with an upgraded impeller. I installed it when I put in the new cam and aluminum heads because I'm still using the "small" non AC radiator. My car rarely gets to 200 degrees in traffic.

    What tire tub?

I always assumed that all of the full size spare carriers were the same. They are fiberglass with steel supports.

    1970 Production Paint

They are not available for 1970 but its assumed that Marboro Maroon and Donneybrooke Green were the two most popular colors.

    Detailing Steering Box

I have the Heads and side pipes off my car to get a valve job(leaking exhaust valve:mad). While the heads are at the machine shop I thought I could clean and detail some stuff I normally can't get to. I'm not sure how I should detail my steering box so I'm going to ask my fellow CAC members...

Help! Adjusting the front passenger side fender.

It's hard to diagnose without pictures. Are you sure its not a worn out door hinge causing the fender gap at the top?

Help! Adjusting the front passenger side fender.

Its probably normal. Door gaps were not that great from the factory. You may want to check your bushings between the body and the frame to see if they are good. Post some pics so we can see what you are dealing with. Welcome to the CAC.

    Help! Master cylinder:

You could always start off bench bleeding it in a vise and then when the piston gets hard to push with a screwdriver install it on the car and finish with the brake pedal. The last master cylinder I installed took about 30 minutes of bench bleeding to get all the air out.(genuine AC Delco Made...
