Fuel gage problem: My fuel gage reads empty for about 10 miles after
filling tank up.
After I fill my tank and drive off, the fuel gage will drop to empty within
a couple of blocks. It attempts to reset every few minutes, but fails. After
about 10 miles, it resets and everything is normal...
For MikeCsix,
The oil monitoring system doesn't measure the oil viscosity as it claims. I believe it just counts the mileage and maybe basic driving habits. After a few oil changes came out pretty clean, I just reset my oil monitoring system to 99% without an oil change. It reset and just...
Lately I have experienced an hesitation of a split second when I am coming to a near stop (about 4 to 5 mph) and then accelerating. For instance you're coming to a red light and it turns green before you stop and you step on it. The car will bog down for a split second before accelerating...
It sames most people that drive their vettes hard prefer the Michelins. But why pay all that money if you're not a hard driver. I switched to the Firestone wide oval runflats. In my opinion they're better than the GY supertires overall, especially in wet conditions. They grip much better...
I'm using the Firehawks now. Got about 18000 out of my GY supertires. I do not run my vette hard, so I can't really speak on high end performance, but for the occasional quick run through the mountains on tight curves and regular everyday driving, I like them much better than the GY's. And...
You're talking 10 to 15 more hp that SLP claim out of 420 hp original...no you can't feel it, nor believe it without concrete proof. I haven't been able to detect any difference, but I do not do any of the high tech things to measure performance. I enjoy my car more for the appearance and the...
The other thing is I have the Z51 package. When I drive in automatic mode, it's just slightly louder than stock even when accelerating. When I really want to hear it, I drive in sport mode and manually shift. That's when you can appreciate it more, because you can run the rpm's higher and...
The SLP square exhaust tips look a little nicer than the stock tips or other round tips in my opinion. The sound is just slightly louder than stock at cruising speeds and idle, but when you step on it, you'll get a nice rumble. If you're looking for the loud roar of the big exhaust systems...
I have an 07. I drive almost every morning to the gym at the same time. Pull out of the garage...some mornings, it will start to adjust to the correct temp within a few seconds and other mornings it will wait 5 or 10 minutes before it does anything. I had the same problem with my 97. It's...
I was reading the directions and they stated that the chip should be hooked up to the 2 IAT wires which are the first 2 tan wires. I e-mailed them and they stated that they should go to the 2 IAT wires, not one to the IAT and one to the MAF, but stated you have to know which wires they are...
I have the same problem. The noise occassionally comes back and goes away with some tight turns. What I want to know is if this is an indication of permanent damage to the plates and should they be replaced now rather than later.
Tony
I'm wondering if this problem has damaged the differential. If it's making that much noise, it seems that it would cause some damage. We probably will not find out for years down the road after the warranty has expired.
Tony
Thanks Peter. Took it to the shop today and like you said...the noise is gone...hopefully to stay. I'm surprise other people are not experiencing this problem, unless they already knew of it and got it fixed.
Tony
I'm not sure what exactly the noise you're referring to sounds like, but I get a noise that sounds like medal scrapping when I make low speed turns, especially if there is a dip involved such as coming out of the driveway. I thought it was the tail pipes scrapping up against the frame, but...
Has it been determined that it's a problem with the 07 year. I haven't put my hard top on since I had the car...1 year now. I use my glass top and it does creak slightly, but not too bad.
Tony
My voltage is at 14.5, so it's not the battery. It's not the clutch switch. I have the auto-manual paddle swifters with the Z51 package. It's not the push button start, because all the lights are out before I push anyting. The lights are normally on when you get into the car. At a lost.
