To me, it looks like it got away from someone.
Back end went around to the right, right rear tire dug in,
and over she went........
I'm intimately familiar with THAT scenario!

Looks GOOD :thumb !
Works really well with the light interior.
I don't think I would like it with a dark colored interior.
The color mismatch you talk about is very hard to spot
unless you are out to find it. It could be chalked up to
different light angles it's so close.........

You might have too MUCH antifreeze in there,
Google pure ethylene glycol freeze point

You could get yourself a large piece of flat aluminum.
Drill a hole in it big enough for the nozzle of the gas pump to fit thru.
Cut the plate small enough to get into the gas hole but large enough to
fit over the "filler neck". Keep the plate with you, and when you need gas
just put the plate...
Great post about the Vette, Hib! It's nice to hear real world stories about what's
happening to other peoples cars, and how the problems get solved.
As for.......
That place has been on my bucket list for about 2 years! Everyone, and I mean EVERYONE I

John, I'm gonna plead ignorance here and ask for a little help in learning something new!
Why won't the even tooth count work? Is it because tooth 1 on the pinion gear will ALWAYS
contact tooth 1, 10, and 19 on the ring gear, and that's not something advisable? I can see
that the odd tooth count...
I think that one of the problems is that the engine is a "variable" source of heat
in that it is able to generate "low all the way to high" levels of heat, but the radiator
is only capable of dissipating that heat under the designed specs. If you pull out
the thermostat, you're changing the...
Hey daddy1! Do you have any info on how to do that conversion? Like
maybe a link or 2 to online instructions? And where did you wind up getting the kit from?
Sounds like something I might be interested in! :thumb

If it has ANY numbers on it anywhere at all, you might try
to google those. Sometimes you get lucky with it........
Also, it probably would be a good idea to post some pictures
of it in case someone has one of those "whoa, I've seen
one of those before", moments.....

You might want to check and see if there are any codes that have been cut. Write them down, then clear them ,
to see if they return if the problem happens again. Probably a long shot, but it's cheap and will give you a baseline
to work with...........

Hey Darby! Welcome to the world of Corvettes, and the Corvette Action Center. The FSM that was mentioned
is the Factory Service Manual, and is specific to your year (or years) of Corvette, whereas the Clymer's or Hayne's
manuals are much more generic. The FSM's give you MUCH more in the way of...
