More than likely the last 3 letters are NEG and not nLg.
It's a 12 volt negative ground system and I would think
that the "stamping" would indicate that ..... 12V NEG.

On your picture of the rotor.........
The screw hole at the top of the picture has a notch cut out of the rotor edge that aligns with a "pin" on the part
that it screws onto. The bottom screw hole does NOT have the notch. It will only go on one way, and if you haven't
loosened the distributor...
There are some that you probably won't be able to get from the build sheet like these from my 2000....

School zones around my area in Florida are at 15 MPH! Try maintaining THAT in anything but 1st gear!
The police have no sense of humor in those zones. It's gotten so that I've found alternate routes around
the 15 MPH school zones so I don't have to worry. I figure that I HAVE to pay...
I don't believe that to be true. I believe the counterweights are on the cross-plane crankshaft, making them heavier and prone to a longer time
to rev than a flat-plane crankshaft, but I'm not an engineer and don't know much........

Yes I did, but only once! Made too darn much of a mess, stunk like crazy, trashed the feeler gauges, and got me so oil
spattered that I had to take a shower and change clothes before I could take the Chevelle for a bath. Learned how to do it
with the engine off and did it that way from then...
