    Fuel-Injection on a '75?

I have TPI on my 383 stroker and love it! It is an aftermarket system howevwer and more expensive than using a stock GM system. Along with the extra expense, you also get much better performance than you would with a stock system. If that is not a problem, you might check out Affordable Fuel...

Question: Who here is running 17" tires on their C3 or earlier?

I wonder what the difference would be between your suspension and mine? I have 255-45x18" in back and 235-40x18" in front and mine rides really smooth. I also have a steel rear spring and Bilstein sport shocks with the car lowered about 2". I already had the F-41 suspension w/ stiffer front springs.

to cut or not to cut

I'm not sure why, but I can't seem to get a picture to post! Anyway, if you look in my pictures, you'll see my setup. I took an air filter housing from an 85 and mounted it upside down under the rad support. I cut out the neck with a die grinder so it was about 3 1/2" diameter and pop riveted a...

    Question: Fire Bottle Install

I put a Halon fire ext. in mine. It won't eat away the chrome or polished alum. like the dry chemical ones will. A little more expensive, but worth it to me. I mounted it to the floor in front of the pass. seat. Plenty of room, the seat never moves.

    valves loosening

I am in the process of replacing the cam, lifters, pushrods, rockers, rings, oil pump, timing set, valve covers and all bearings because of that. I lost # 8 intake lobe on the cam and the same lifter. Started with a small ticking only at startup and got louder over about a 500 mile trip. Ended...

    Gas tank fuel bladder

If a tank for a '77 will fit, I have a brand new one still in the box with the reciept from Ecklers. All you would need is the top piece from your old bladder to make a gasket for the fill plate that bolts to the top of the tank. I'd let it go for $150.00 + shipping. I thought my bladder was...

    Going Dual Exhaust - Update

Depends on where you live. My 77 just gets a safety inspection. Actually, they spend the whole time just asking questions about the car and don't even check the lights. I passed the first time with no brake lights and only one taillight. My wife's 05 Infiniti however, gets a 45 min check with...

    Rocker Arm Upgrade

Maybe I'm hijacking this thread but I don't think so. I am thinking of changing from a flat tappet cam to hyd roller. In order to get the proper seat pressure from my current springs Crane cams suggested I use .030" shims. The springs have a max lift of .575" now. The cam I am considering has an...

post you before and after projects.

[ Fine69 ... what is that notch by you antenna hole? my 74 rear clip has a similiar notch but the original 82 rear clip never did. I thought at first a small piece of fiberglass broke off but after looking at yours I'de like to know why this notch is there. Different guy---but the notch is...

Help! Flashers work, but turn indicator also works as flashers

With mine, the flashers only worked in the front. The rear light would flash if I turned the blinker on. The turn signals worked fine. If I jiggled the flasher button, the horn would honk!! I replaced the turn signal switch in the column and all was fixed.

    LT4 Injector Pulse Width Question

Have you checked your 02 sensor? If that's bad, I think it could effect your fuel mixture.

    Just a quik steeroids question

I have the Flaming River manual rack and love it!!! It fit great(except for a slight clearance issue with my 7 qt. oil pan). I fixed that in about 10 minutes. The steering is tighter than I've ever felt it. a little hard in a parking lot but I try not to spend that much time parking:rotfl. I'd...

    Just a quik steeroids question

You probably have an aftermarket pump on there now if it is a remote reservoir. My 77 was the standard pump. I went with manual rack and pinion and love it!!

    Help! 81 Tires and rims

Do an internet search. I just sold a set of perfect aluminum wheels with steel center caps, lug nuts and Firestone firehawk Indy 500-255/60-15s for $700.00. Tires only had 4000 miles. They're out there.

Has anyone tried one of these?

I can't get a picture to post in this forum:confused. If you check my pics you can see my system. It is aftermarket and made for much more power than a stock setup. Bigger runners and throttle body. I love it.

Advice on building a stroker for my 75 l48

I'm running a 383 stroker with a 218,224 duration-.462-.469 lift @ .50, 110 degree lobe separation cam, 1.5 roller rockers on Edelbrock Performer RPM heads, aftermarket TPI, a 700R-4 tranny and 3.70 rear gears. It's got 9.8-1 compression and runs great on mid-grade gas. It's so much fun to drive...
