    Another North Texan

I'm straight out 407 W towards Rhome/New Fairview.....that was a fun drive home tonite. Roads weren't too bad, just people going way too slow! If you see a black Silverado SS thats me....I'm sure I'll recognize the Bowling Green C5.. Waiting for the weather to warm up a bit and get my 68 on the...

    Question: Parking brake adjustment

Mini, Underneath the car you should see where the parking brake cable comes from the handle, thru the floor, back towards the rear wheels. The adjusting nuts are where the handle cable ends and meets up with the one that goes to each rear brake.... Def. do as Tim suggests, make sure the brakes...

Why waste $$$ to make your car louder?

I think everyone here has hit on the good reasons to do it....what more do you need? Better fuel mileage, better sound, more HP, more torque! I have chambered on the C3 (radio delete) so I might as well have something that sounds good to listen to while driving. I just put a Magnaflow with dual...

    Body lift with Engine hoist

Exactly...lots easier to put the car on the rollers and move the chassis rather than the cherry picker.....as you can tell it was close.....kind of had to tilt the front and rear of the body up to move the chassis out from underneath.....then rolled the wooden dolly (on wheels too) under the...

    Planet 67 gets under way...

Dirt, The rebar chairs are used extensively here, on top of soil or vapor barriered slabs, walkways, patios, etc.... In my case I used them for the garage floor slab and driveway. The thickness was around 4 - 5" and the chairs kept the rebar at 2-1/4. They are plastic. Preferred them over using...

    Body lift with Engine hoist

Dano, I helped another member here do a body off on his '71 Feb '06... We did it with the yellow straps and an engine hoist.....it was close but it did work. You may have to tilt front and back to get chassis out from under the car. I don't have pictures with me at work, I can try and post some...

    2007 Nextel Cup Champion...

This is when I knew the kid was gonna be one heck of a Cup driver... "Johnson's pre-Nextel Cup career is also noted for a crash at Watkins Glen where his car's brakes failed heading into turn 11, causing him to crash at nearly full speed headon into the styrofoam insulation and guardrail...

    rear end side yokes

It has had the fibreglass spring since I owned it so I don't know how it sat or rode with the old style metal spring. The ride is OK. I too went thru the front and back replacing all the worn rubber. Trying to remember one of those words of wisdom that popped up during that...
