    Headlights won't open

You can always do what I did back in 1974 on my '69. Sorry, just had to do that:w

    Advice Sought on Shocks

Well, since no one else has chimed in, I'll give you my .02. I'd do all 4 to keep the balance the same. As far as a softer ride, I've always thought the ride is more controlled by your springs than the shocks. I've heard that some recommend the Sensa tracks and of course the Blistein also has...

Anyone do a seat belt harness install in a Convert?

That's a helpful comment. And yes, I did before I posted my question.

What would happen if the master cylinder is almost filled to the top?

Well, this is what happened. After doing new rotors, pads, front wheel bearings and resealing calipers this weekend, I bled the system with the Motive Bleeder. After doing so, it left the master pretty well filled up and I left it as is and put the cap on. Drove the car for 3 days this week...

What would happen if the master cylinder is almost filled to the top?

Instead of leaving a quarter inch or so of space? I have a reason for asking but don't want to sway any answers. Thanks, Fred

Anyone do a seat belt harness install in a Convert?

The company that makes it is Speed Direct. It costs $560 :crazy So when you tack on the price of a couple of harnesses, it ain't cheep.

Anyone do a seat belt harness install in a Convert?

Since apparently no one knows here, I have since found out that there is a device called the Shark Bar that makes a harness install possible.

MOTIVE bleeder warning. It might save you some $$$

All worked well the first time I used it on my '67 but on Saturday I had to bleed the brakes on the '69 after a 4 caliper seal rebuild. For some quirky reason, I didn't have a good seal on the unit and a quart of silicone brake fluid ended up on my garage floor. And it happened quick. I saw...

    cleaning/washing front wheel bearings?

Gas has been a bad choice - too volitile and flamiable. I made the change to mineral spirits last night. It works well. Thanks.

    Caliper lube

:v What he said above but if your going to do it, why don't you do it with the right stuff? After all, you're going to take them out to do it right? and replace the cotter pin? And Jack, I wish you would get those teeth fixed;)

    Steering Problems

There is an adjustment to the Control valve. If you remove the cap that you see on the side of the valve, you will see the adjuster. The valve should be in a neutral position. Now I'm trying to remember from memory so maybe someone else will chime in - with the valve disconnected from the...

    Windsheild Wiper Help ala 1974

Partially off topic - I just purchased at Autozone a headlight switch for my '69 at $14.99 that Corvette speciality catalogs sell for about $55. Now, I don't know if the 55 dollar one is Mr. Goodwrench or not but I figured for 15 bucks, what the heck.

low beams don't work, high beams do?

Problem fixed. Fixed I cleaned up a ground connection. No change. Then I grabbed the wires where they were spliced when the twin headlights were converted to singles. Gave them a coupla of squeezes. Wolla. Will resplice all these and they should last for another 30 years.

1967 for $140,100.00 ...Reserve NOT met

Had I seen this on e-bay, I'd probably have gone to $140K but $140,100 is way too much. Seriously as a seller I'd have taken the money and ran to the bank with it as fast as I could.

low beams don't work, high beams do?

If, and, but I replaced the dimmer switch and unfortunately, that is not the problem. Still have brights only and when the switch is hit for the brights to go off, I just have the parking lights. Going to try locally for a headlight switch as my guy in town has no listing. Otherwise it's...
