Thanks for the suggestion. I will wait till Monday to place my order since I have to do some brake/rotor work and may need other parts and will place one larger order.
The bottom half of the shroud is a super b*tch to put in. I eventially gave up trying to get mine in after a radiator repair and just have the top half in with no heating issues.
Ok, what do I do now with the 2 cases of GTX 10w-30 that I just bought?I did make a switch last year from 10w-40 to 10w-30 based on some readings and use Rotella in my 1975 Honda 750 after previously running GTX 10W-40 based on discussions in their forum.
On my '69, I have done single headlight conversion back in the 70's. My guess to this problem is the headlight switch. I've had an issue with the switch going back to almost when I bought the car (1973). Most times I put the headlights on, the interior dash lighting does not go on. I have to...
The Motive bleeder is the ONLY way to go. I just bought one and used it for the first time last night to bleed my '67 brakes after I did a 4 caliper reseal job. It became so simple, it was funny. And all those years I diked around with gravity bleeding, calling the wife to pump the brakes...
What's the best procedure to clean up the underside of my front fender on the '67 that appears to have alot of black guck (alsphaut?) underneath it. Should I just scrape with a ?? or is it OK to gunk it and hose it off? I'm wondering if this is a contributor to my paint issues on the top of the...
Finally completed the caliper reseal on the '67. As my dad use to say, the Motive bleeder "Is the Nuts!." When I think of all the time I use to spend on bleeding brakes, this unit is a No-brainer. It's also perfect to see if you have any leaks with fittings. It makes bleeding brakes a pleasure.
I was at The Glen over the 4th and would have been glad to do it for you then but that obviously is of no help to you now. Sorry. You might want to call the Research Museum http://www.racingarchives.org/ and they might be able to find someone to inspect it.
IMO a '67 sticker wouldn't be in that condition unless you removed it real early in the cars lifetime. When I replaced the tank in my '67 in 1989, the sticker was almost unreadable and in real poor condition. And the car was in storage from 1976 - 1989.
Vehicle bought 35 yrs ago this month. Happy birthday to BlueRay. Motor never apart. Recent suspension work includes Moog ball joints, idler arm and tie rod ends, VBP HD relay rods and strut rods, new springs and poly C/A bushings. Real wheel bearings replaced. All new P/S components. Seats and...
