Adjusting Hydraulic Lifters The Correct Way

I've read carefully through the posts on this thread. The only person who seems to be taking offence to the OP's comments is yourself and I'm not sure why. From my perspective, nothing toobroketoretire wrote appears as condescending or provocative as your responses. If you don't like what...

Video: LS7 427 powered 1967 Corvette Convertible 1/4 mile Drag Video

With the stance, the offset of the wheels and the way that thing launched, it's clear that the LS7 is not the only modification… I'm okay with that… :upthumbs Mac

    The Advantage Of Synthetic Oil

Odd to only lose the single bearing… That has me wondering if the oil passage was plugged to that journal? Mac

    Something For You To Ponder

Best guess is the conversion to RAM removed a restriction on the intake side which was preventing effective airflow. Mac

Interior restoration- a couple of thoughts

Digital cameras are inexpensive and take good quality pictures; memory is cheap. As you disassemble pieces, take a picture at each stage. I know… it sounds like overkill but when you're trying to put something back together and it doesn't want to cooperate, you will have a visual guide of how it...

    Fabricating And Installing An H-Pipe

My 73 has the actuated flaps on the hood but, since the system wasn't sealed, no difference in atmosphere and only a small difference in temperature (if any) but more engine noise. I believe this is referred to as 'perceived horsepower' for some reason. :chuckle Mac

    FS/ SB Headers for Side-pipes

You're not alone… As H. D. Thoreau said… "Simplify, simplify." In the past couple of years, I've donated or disposed of so much stuff that the local community services recognize me. I still have too much stuff. Mac

    Fabricating And Installing An H-Pipe

Not completely… I had a 1988 Ford F150 with the 5.0l engine. It had a small EGR pipe which got plenty hot but it wasn't big enough to act as an H-pipe. Mac

The Joy Of Big Block Power

I wish!! My friend, 67HEAVEN, is an original owner of his 1967 BB coupe. I've driven it since he restored it with a 502 BB and 5 speed and WOW isn't a big enough word. :w Mac

Aluminum Brazing Rod Is Very Easy To Use Once You Learn How

A couple of guys at the office have been playing with the MIG welder and aluminum, trying to teach themselves how to weld. I wish I had time but the best I can do is not complain about them wasting time/material. lol I did some stick welding when I was a kid, then a bit of MIG welding on sheet...

    I'm having trouble with "EDIT"

A: I think someone already got to this before I did as there's no duplicate posts. B: I don't have control over settings; that's Rob's bailiwick. And C: I've never seen a cursor jump like you've described. I use links frequently and never saw that issue. Mac
