The shot of the dash and steering wheel at :26 - :27 got my attention. The tach/DIC was hot looking :thumb
....and how about that outline of the car in the middle of the tach??
WOW...the second shot just went up my spine!; how georgus she is :thumb Your 'shopping skills are pretty good as well; loved the treatment of the structure ;)
I re-ordered the pump from O'Rielys this morning...they're ordering an '84 and an '85 to make sure it's the right one. Looking at their pictures, there doesn't seem to be any difference.
Does anyone know if the difference in part numbers has to do with flow because there is no visual difference...
Well I thought Monday was bad.....
Got the pump out after work today and went to pick up the smog pump at the local Autozone I ordered this afternoon and while I was there, I thought to install new bolts, so I tried to find the bolt size and check it against the new pump. Well lo and behold...
Thanks guys for the leads....
Contemporary didn't answer the phone (Bristol, PA must have been hammered pretty hard by Sandy) and vette2vette turned up nothing, but I did find one in Mississippi for $75.00, which I thought was reasonable. I'm ordering it in the morning.
I had 2 ways to go...
Today wasn't a great day for my 'vette...I lost 2 of the three smog pump pulley bolts and what a noise that was! Good thing I made it home before I lost everything. The bad news is I busted part of the A.I.R. diverter valve in the process. I've looked on Ebay and a few other sites for a diverter...
I know they make hide-a-plate holders for the C5's and C6'....this link comes to mind first:- Hide The Plate.com...do you think it could be adapted to your car?
That's the way I see it, but with the high production numbers, it might be a quite a while before they appreciate as rapidly as the C2's and C3's do....
The majority of 'vette talk is of the C2 - C3 or C5 - C6 range. Sometimes I do agree with the OP that the C4's ARE overlooked in some respects.
Could you explain the "min air" adjustment?
To the OP, ignition ON engine NOT running is important, like xfireZ51 said. You also might want to make sure your IAC's are not sticking; that would cause similar effects :beer
The IAC's (idle air control) on the throttle bodies might be sticking as well....that would cause idle speeds that are all over the place...
Just my .02 from the desert.....:w
My '84 isn't the fastest or the best built, but it puts a smile on my face when I drive it or just staring at it in awe. Whenever someone has a negitive remark about it, which is VERY rare, I ask them "Let's see YOUR 'vette"...LOL
Bottom line, the C4's will come into their own right...
