    I did something naughty yesterday...

It's more fun when you have a 6 speed and drop it from 6th to 4th in a Z06. :D

Dwayne, If no one takes you up on your offer, I will pay for the shipping rather than have them thrown away. LMK.

Those are some nice mods you have there! I'm sure the 3.42's with all that power really has you going through rear tires like crazy. :L

    A Spark Plug Worth 5 HP ?

I thought that all a plug needed to do was spark enough to get the fuel to burn? Aren't the iridium plugs that come in new 'Vette's mainly so they last longer than the old plugs? It's a thing about less maintenance, right? As for oil giving more HP on the dyno, I don't know about that...

    Battery Draw

Battery draw is the biggest reason why I'm very hesitant to install an iPod auxiliary on my Z. Right now, I'm just using an FM transmitter. PITA when I get into some areas and need to find an unused station, though.:W

    Cleaning grounds help

Bill is the man when it comes to C5 electrical issues. I would even call him a guru, he's the man who many go to when they have electrical issues. Trust me, a lot of people go to him.:L I'm chasing one right now with my driver side window/lock controls.

    window regulator

How do you know that it's the regulator? Could it be that the regulator there is just not getting power to it?

    Done with my car...

I'm actually thinking about picking it up in the future. They go by a "credit" system and I think most cars use 2 credits to tune it. I think you get 6-8 when you buy the program. I think the cost is about $600.

Planning a trip to Texas in the near future for a few upgrades...

That's what I was told, that if they're stainless, they'll be fine. One thing though that after I run the AC and shut the car off, the water will drip onto the headers and make a cool hissing sound. :D

    Time for New Exhaust

The Z06 systems offer a nice rumble. They're lighter and you can find them in the $350-400 range, which is a bargain!

C5 Street Series Long Tube Headers: Anyone here have them on their C5?

Also, the most important thing: INSIST THAT THEY USE NEW HEADER BOLTS!!! Jeg's sold me the wrong bolts and I reused the old ones, one of them ended up breaking off in the head, $240 later, it was removed. Get new header bolts!

C5 Street Series Long Tube Headers: Anyone here have them on their C5?

I didn't get mine coated, they're stainless so I think they'll be okay. I just used the stock wire protectors and there is not rubbing of any sort. I know that some places sell "socks" to cover the wires from the headers. Also, you will probably save 20-25 pounds by going with the headers...

C5 Street Series Long Tube Headers: Anyone here have them on their C5?

Dwayne, While they have the car up and the exhaust off, have them install a tunnel plate to get the chasis more rigid. All it is are about 2 million little bolts around the perimeter of the tunnel plate. I have the Pro's but from my understanding, the Street's are usually better for <450 or...

installing new brake rotors and pads

I would even suggest using new caliper bracket bolts. Those suckers are torqued on there 125 lbs. :W The factory ones come with lock tite on them. It's a pretty straightforward job. Go with ceramic pads, definitely cuts down on the brake dust much more than semi-metallic. I usually get my...

Planning a trip to Texas in the near future for a few upgrades...

The LG longtubes will definitely increase the noise level. :L They were a bear to get in, I did all the work myself. I just can't see paying someone else to do it for me. I put down 366 to the rear wheels.

    Done with my car...

    Here is the dyno sheet:

ZO6 taken down as per the GM video..15mm's and its riding just perfect.

I thought about lowering mine but I'm already scraping the front air damns on a lot of things so I'm going to hold off for now. I might go with C6 Z06 shocks in the near future and I've heard that will raise the ride height so I might lower it on stock bolts so it comes back to the factory height.

    Done with my car...

Dwayne, He hooks the car up to the dyno and a laptop through the OBD port. He'll drive the car to WOT about 4 times and make adjustments to the air/fuel. That's all I know about it. As for the program itself, I don't have it, I know it costs $600 though, which is out of my price range for now.
