    Help! Belt tensioner wrench

If you can get away with it, the more leverage the better. It can be achieved with a 1/2" drive ratchet, but as stated above a breaker bar is easier.

    Question: Service engine soon light

Don't need a scan tool. All that is required for retrieving the codes is a paper clip. With the key off connect the paper clip between terminals A and B on the ALDL connector. Turn the key to on, do not start. The service engine light will flash 12 three times, then will start flashing the...

    Help! code 32 !!!

Definitely a job well done, but I would still like to know the cause of the failure. There was a reason the TPS was out of tolerance. Is there an issue with the sensor, or was the unit not tight and allowed to move around. Also, it is important that the top end of the TPS voltage be 4.0 volts or...

    85 running lean

I've seen this personally too. You also might want to get a dial timing light so you can verify timing that the computer is advancing. Just to make sure everything is in line.

89 Vette motor in my 84 with crossfire

Mail order tunes are fine if you have bolt on modifications. Unless they have experienced tuning a setup like yours, there only going to be in the ball park maybe. The mail order tune may get your car running, be aware, in my experience extensive data logging and tuning is required.

    Need some opinions please

There are countless early C4's available that have very low mileage. If you are dead set on a C3, that's fine. Just thought I would throw a monkey wrench into things.

    Rebuilding Headlight Actuator

Gotcha, I know exactly what you guys are talking about. It really doesn't matter though if they were both right or left. It would just require longer vacuum hoses?

    Need some opinions please

You first need to identify what your intent for use of the automobile will be. Once that is established, pursuing the correct flavor of corvette should be much easier.

So you have taken an 89 corvette motor and dropped it into your 84?

    MAF-question

I would get a fuel pressure gauge and do testing before going any further.

    Problems with the idling!

Swap plug wires from #8 with another cylinder of a similar length. Fuel pressure measurement will determine if you have leaking injectors.

    Rebuilding Headlight Actuator

Thanks for the advice. Without having them in front of me right now, I'm not sure I could tell the difference. Are they stamped?

    R.I.P Vettie

This is the only picture that matters. :thumb I commend you on all your efforts with the car. Being an engineer that is currently working on a combination with my car, I know how much time it takes. Some folks don't have a clue. ;squint: I wish you the best moving forward. :beer
