I'd Change It When I went from the Richmond gear 4 speed to the Tremec 5, I also put a 9" rear under it. I was running a 4.10 rear but with the lower gear ratio in the Tremec compared to the Richmond, I went with a 3.90 and I have a 7,000 RPM chip in the MSD box.
