As "boomdriver" states... BACK TO BASICS... 1st thing is to get a Factory Service Manual for your year car then simply follow the diagnosis step by step doing just as the manual suggests. No skipping, no cheating. The step you skip may be the one that gets your car back. Even if you just get...

Cloth seat covers - 2nd post

If the covers are custom made, I would recommend calling the shop that made your custom covers. Maybe they had a different procedure of running those seat wires. Were the seat covers sewn properly and/or the wires installed properly? Recommending anything could damage your covers even further...

    Taking reasonable offers

At first this seemed awfully steep, but then I checked and I see you have the certificate of authenticity and the original wooden box it came in so I think you're may be OK with your asking price. I also found a few places that are selling these for about the $150.00 you're asking. Like...

News: Putting the vette away for the winter... :(

I think that's way too early. It's almost like you were looking to put it away. Were you getting sick of the car? :L I'm in Maine and figure I have about 1 1/2 mos until the 1st snow. My car has a heater in it, the colder weather does not effect how it starts, how it handles, and especially how...

On to the next problem: C3 rear suspension -- again really that tough?

I took mine to PEP Boys and it took them 4 hours. Took it for a 3 hour ride the next day and noticed everytime I stepped on it there was noise and was headed back when somebody behind flagged me down and pointed out that my right rear tire was almost at 45 degrees. I went to nearest place I...

    Question: Code scanner

Hi scotch1 At the home page of this site, go to the "feature" section on the left side and click on "A dose of Digital: Part 2 - Diagnostic Tools Buyers Guide". Hib Halverson did an excellent article about this. It's towards the end, but well worth reading it all as well as Part I. This will...

That would concern me as well. Chuck M

    New VIN Number

Why don't you take the crews out and replace with the correct rivettes. The NCRS will help you with that. Make sure you have the history to back up what you did and why when it's time to sell. I would not settle for a new, longer VIN. Chuck M
