    What to replace first

"Chuck have you seen problems after servicing K&N's?" When you recharge your K&N, make sure there is no excessive oil still in the filter. Let it sit overnight on newspapers or something like that to soak up the excess. If there is more oil than needed, it can raise havoc with the sensors...

WTB Left (driver's side) lower control arm for 1979

By the way, I wanted to thank Contemporary Corvette for the lower A-Arm. It was $75.00 + $15.00 shipping which was more than reasonable. He even left the bushings, shaft, and ball joint on it. My ball joint was the original and his was like new, so I was able to return the new one waiting to go...

    WTB Rear Glass for 1979

When I responded, I meant a new glass and many used ones. A new one is about 1,400 MSRP. What a joke! I've seen used ones from $200.00 to $500.00 plus about 250.00 for shipping. I would have had to pay 500 + 250 = 750 PLUS installing it! That's not reasonable "all things considered" to me...

    What to replace first

Well stated toptechx6 You're car is an excellent example: Code 33 = Mass air flow sensor (Voltage Low) Code 34 = Mass air flow sensor (Voltage High) COde 36 = Mass air flow burn-off sensor fault So there's an error somewhere at the mass air flow sensor By any chance did you have a...

    1973 bleeding brakes

Did you "bench bleed" the master cylinder before installing it? Chuck M

    1973 bleeding brakes

Yes, do the front ones as well. I found that the "top" of the pedal seem to be effected by the front brakes. If you still can't get pedal and you're not leaking anywhere, it may be the master cylinder. What was done requiring you to bleed the brakes? Chuck M

    The money pit

I would be fit to be tied myself. I would also be very hesitant to have the work done by them...if they botched up a simple intake gasket and oil change????? Also, if the main bearings went, what about the rod bearings or the camshaft bearings, the oil pump, etc etc. Maybe the cheapest way for...

I would think the only people that can decide that are the ones paying the bill! Chuck M

    Question: diagonist meters

Hi captainrags: You must mean Diagnostic Meters. It's more than meters with Corvettes from 84 and on. Those cars have sssooo many relays upon relays. I've got tons of Diagnostic Equipment for these and worth every penny when it comes down to finding the problem without being a "test by...

Cold Hearted Sale of a C3!!!

I would take that sentence out about the owner's death. It just doesn't belong there. Teasing with a no reserve then having a starting bid at $8,000 does not work on ebay when the starting price is close to what the selling price will be. Chuck M

    Maine bans performance exhausts??

Quite a while ago Maine actually required vehicle inspections every 6 months! Remo: Mass has been working very hard to do the same. Mass also been working hard to force owners to crush any unregistered cars in people's yards to stop "rust polution"!!! What a joke... but it's for real! Mass...
