Installed my new Accel injectors this weekend

Injector Cleaning I sent four injectors for an 86 Toyota MR2 to a company called Witchhunter.com for cleaning and was really pleased with the results. They flow test tehm before and after and give you a report. I think it was $15 per. Timely service. Made a big difference in MPG. # 4 was...

For those of you that like to do your own tuning...

ECMs, PROMS and EEPROMS Hi Bill. I checked my book, "Corvette Fuel Injection" last night. It said that a PROM was used in Vettes through 1993. Starting in 1994, EEPROMS ( Electronically Erasable ) were used. According to the book, the first EEPROMS were somewhat easy to reprogram with a...

For those of you that like to do your own tuning...

PROM or EPROM - That is the question Hi Bill. My understanding is that the earlier C4s have an unprogrammable PROM while later models have a proagrammable EPROM. Is this correct? If so, your device replaces the PROM with an EPROM?

    out of gas

I feel fortunate Last weekend I took a short trip north of here for a baseball game and ended up waiting to fill until a got back to Denver. I usually don't let it get below 1/4 of a tank. Gage was down to one bar left. Didn't run out. Whew! So should I be confident now or more cautious?

Water pump gaskets - Help !

Hang in there! We all experience these frustrations when working on our cars. I think the tendency is to only talk about the results and not so much the trials and tribulations we experinced to get there. I have been known to clear my garage, yard and house of family turning the air blue...

    interior...looks ugly

Try a search! I know that someone has described the procedure for stripping and restoring the interior panels on this site. I think I even printed it out. If you can't find it with a search post here and I will take a look in my files at home for the thread title.;)

    Air condition pressure

I checked my service manual last night and there is a table at the end of the A/C chapter which lists the expected low and high side pressures at different ambient temperatures and relative humidities. It ranged from about 30 PSI to 43 PSI. It also lists the expected supply air temperatures...

    Air condition pressure

My 2 Cents I don't know off the top of my head what the low side pressure should be. I would be surprised if your manual doesn't list it. The low pressure side of an air conditioning system is downstream of the thermal expansion valve and upstream of the compressor. Refrigerant flows in an...

    Masked vette

Clear Bra I have had pretty good luck on my 2001 Dakota and a 2000 VW Beetle with a transparent stick on mask or clear bra. The VW origianlly came with a product form a company called Ricochet. It yellowed terribly. I was forced into a curb in the VW and had to have body work done on the...

What is your best mileage on a trip?

I thought I was doing great?! I drove 2300 miles from Denver to Phoenix to Tucson and back through Albequerque (sp) last October and got 23 MPG. After ten years of driving my 70 Malibu I thought 23 was great! I did drive a good deal in Phoenix while I was there for the week. I went over...

Anyone drive their C4 every day?

Gotta Pay Attention to Her! Not every day but at least once a week if the weather cooperates. I only live three miles from work and take the bus quite often. I don't put her up for the winter. As long as there is no snow on the roads I drive her on the weekends. If I can't take her out I at...
