Ya I am still a bit concerned. I just installed my driver's side Corbeau A4 last night and with it leaned back it seems to kind of pinch against the arrestor/retractor that sits on the back wheel well. Not like I plan on getting in an accident, but you just want to be safe...
Hey I installed the camaro belts in mine as well, but I am kind of concerned about the safety factor. Normally with modern belts if you move them forward slowly they will go, but if you give them a quick jerk with your hand they will catch. My Camaro belts don't catch at all.
Am I missing...
Anyone know a place in Northern VA. where you can rent automotive tools? Specifically I am looking for an A/C Vacuum Pump. Time to convert over to R134a.

I will have to check on the VIN numbers. You happen to know what the cutoff is between a "early" and a "late" model? Mine does have A/C and the Compressor is the A-6 which I thought was only on the early models, but that could have been changed out over the years.

Is it possible that a 76 had 77 floor pans?
I have Corbeau Seats and the brackets that were supposed fit a 76 weren't even close. I sent in my measurements to Corbeau and evidently they match a 77 and not a 76.
Anyone with a 76 feel like measuring the distance between the seat mount...
I contacted Corbeau and they asked for the measurements of the holes in the floor pan. Shouldn't they know this already? Anyways I will see what they can do before I go elsewhere. Thanks for the good info though.
Who wants to place bets that Corbeau sends me either the exact same brackets or...
Has anyone installed these seats in a C3 with the brackets from Corbeau? I have a 76 and the brackets that came with the seats are WAAAAY off. The front bolts line up pretty close, but the rear bolts are like 1 inch to wide on each side? Did I get two mislabelled parts?!

I am just about finished with my 76 interior. I opted for the A4's From Corbeau. I haven't bolted them in yet, but I just laid them in there and they look ok, definitely more comfortable.

How do you like the upgraded motor? Mine was squeking pretty bad last year maybe it is time to change out. Do you know if the tube is available for that different fan?
Do you know what part number you gave them? I called the local GM dealer and he said the Blower Motor Cooling Tube is discontinued. He gave me part 3014788 as the discontinued part #.
On the blower motor there is a tube that runs to another part of the vehicle I guess to cool the blower motor. Anyone been able to find a replacement for this tube? Where?
Additionally on the interior of the car there are a couple of vacuum lines for the A/C and Heater doors and vents and...
I don't know much about the 02 sensors, I didn't have any on the 76. If you have A/C I would not get the A/C bracket, but fabricate your own. I actually got the A/C bracket and it didn't even fit and then I saw the headers install faq at www.corvettefaqs.com and just cut mine to fit. Not sure...
Sounds like a good idea. What is the stuff? Got a brand name or something? I haven't installed yet and still have a few more holes to drill, so it is probably worth it to go back and glue the threads on the holes I have drilled.
I haven't gotten to the wiper switch yet. My only problem with...
Ya ok, that was what mine was like. It was a PITA, I did most of the work last weekend. I am also concerned that over time those screws will wiggle and jolt enough to widen those holes. What do you think? Just doesn't seem as sturdy as the originals, or even as sturdy as it could be. You...

I had a similar issue even after a complete weatherstrip change out. Check the link below. My fillers were completely rotted and gone to the point that I didn't even know something was supposed to sit there.

Pipes have some great sound. I am using the Hooker Glass Packs which I am told are terrible. I may eventually swap to the turbo baffles.
The pipes on a 350 are a pretty tight fit and I have heard that the pipes in a 454 are even worse. On mine the steering box is only about an 1/8 of an inch...
The dash I recently purchased looks great on the front side, but on the back side none of the holes for screwing in the heater vent, tach mount, speedo mount, etc. are pre-drilled like the original. Is this standard with all repro's or just mine?
