    Stock or open air filter?

An open air filter would take in hot air off of the engine, while the stock setup will pull in cold air from the grill opening.

    1972 vs. 2002

Vettes, yes. With souls, like the Zora cars - ? ? ? ?

    Speedometer Problem

It sounds like either your speedo cable broke or came unhooked at one end or the other. Craig

? does antique TITLE affect value ?

Jack, PA is the same way. I got my car titled as soon as I got it home, and didn't apply for plates. After a couple months, I applied for classic plates and got a 'new' title ($22 title fee again) I'm sure you can change it back if you want to, or if you sell it to someone else, in whatever...

    What Would You Do?

If you can afford a C6, you can afford to make your garage bigger! I just stretched mine out this spring to 24X58 (from 24X40) for about $3600. Think of the old Van Halen song - BEST OF BOTH WORLDS! Just my opinion. Craig

    blah blah brakes

Anthony, If this is the first you had it out this year, you probably don't drive it enough to need the hi power brakes. I had the same problem, replaced one caliper that was leaking (and the shoes - if they're soaked, they're ruined) bled them out and it's fine. I've put just over a thousand...

    Engine Replacement

Maverick, The previous owner of my 81 replaced the original engine with a Jasper rebuild of a 79 L82 and it works just fine. I don't know what differences there are in torque converters that you would need a different one. Herron, Your original engine didn't have FI, it wasn't available until...

    Repaint C3 Mopar color.

I believe Milk of Magnesia is white, you must be thinking of Pepto Bismol, which itself makes me wanna puke! (thank God they make it in pills now) One movie William Peterson (of CSI fame) was in, one of his friends pulls up in a pink C2 and he says "what did you paint it with, nail polish???"

    Gymkana suspension/ rear sway bar?

Mine is a VERY late 81 (81-1/2, if you will) Fiberglass spring, and a sway bar. The previous owner made a point of showing me what he added. . .

    which is better 72 c3 or 81c3?

I'll be there too, probably Sunday morning. . .will you all be in the same place as last year? For all those of you who will be going for the first time, I probably don't need to tell you but just in case: BRING A CAMERA! Craig

    which is better 72 c3 or 81c3?

Yeah, that was me! I have a BG 81, but I gotta say I love the bumper cars! In our club, there are 3 of each, but they kinda get overshadowed by all the newer cars. My older sister is a professional photographer, and between her an I we took pics of most of the active cars in our club at parades...

    Door locks (1980)

kbrews, I had the same problem on one side. The reply I got is as follows: 'the orange and gray wires (the 2 on the one side) go to each of their respective colors, the other side purple to black, tan to tan and pink to blue. This would be for the DRIVER'S side. As for the passengers, the orange...

    Is This a Good Deal?

Yeah, kinda - it's probably behind the smog pump or A/C pump or alternator. . . not to mention they will be stamped in, not embossed on. If you're really familiar with engines, it's a smallish 'tab' sticking out at the top of the block, where the bottom of the head mounts, the driver's side will...

    Is This a Good Deal?

Hey Brian, The car came from the factory with an L82. Look on the block in front of the passenger's side head, there is a 'stamp pad' that will have a couple sets on numbers stamped. One should include the last 5 of the VIN, the other will be a date code. One or the other will have a 3 letter...

    Is This a Good Deal?

Andre (Evolution 80) has it right. You don't have a Corvette listed under 'my Corvette' so I'm assuming you want it for you. The 78-79's weren't the most sought after, if you do your own work and you have the money (or haggling ability) go for it. We can get you through the headlight problem...

    Interior Refurbishment

Uh yeah, I was tryin not to be cruel! Have you tried to assemble the horn button components off of the car? If one new piece doesn't quite fit together with the old ones, you won't know it unless you try it seperately. Just a thought. Craig
