Yes, actually I did notice that. One of these days it would be cool to get one of each of the Speedsters together for a group shot to show the evolution. :beer
I must have missed something. I've thought about this a few times since it was discussed at the Museum show, but I don't remember seeing anything actually kicking off the fund raising effort.
I'm still in, and I'll double up for a cool poster. Where do I send my check?
Thanks for posting these, Chris. Brought back some great memories. I really wish I could have made more events this year.
I still think this was one of the coolest things I saw at the show. Thanks for bringing your display Critt99!! :upthumbs
Cool hauler, but I just don't see the point of painting car names and logos on a private hauler. Sooner or later you're goint to have to stop for the night. You might as well just paint "Cool car inside - break in and steal me" on it.
It wasn't an LTx, but I did this bypass on my '02 Z06. It was an easy mod, but I can't say I noticed a difference. As Bluewasp said, the coolant is circulated through the TB to keep it from freezing in cold weather. I think the purpose of the bypass is to keep the hot coolant from heating up the...
I recently found out we have one of these in Scottsdale as well, on the last Saturday of each month. I haven't made it over there yet, but when I do I'll post photos.
Hmmm. The add says "1984 Peterbilt toy hauler, like new. Has a 440 cummings engine with only 700 miles. 10 speed road ranger. 28 foot box. Trailer has lift and a wench."
It also says "Sleeper has new mattress." For the wench, no doubt.;LOL
Shopview - I believe I ran into the original owner of your car over the weekend at a show near here. We got to talking because he was the original owner of Speedster #008, and he said he was also the original owner of 1991 #001. He was really surprised to hear it was now Old Lyme Green. Turns...
In the auctions that I've attended it's a real mixed bag. Do cars sell? Yes. Do they sell for a fair price? That's up to the buyer's opinion, but presumably yes, the buyer thought it was fair. Fairness (like beauty) is in the eye of the beholder, right? :)
As for an auction car showing up at...
I think I'm still new enough to this that everything I see here on the forum is interesting and useful in some way or another. And I totally agree with Peer81 about the people on the forum and the 'family' feeling. The Bowling Green show was my first Callaway event, and I felt right at home...
How about some of Critt99's models? Since getting lots of cars there can be a challenge, maybe a sampling of some of the cars he has built to show the significant Callaways. I'd donate the model he made of #007 to represent the Speedsters.
:beer
Thanks! I was bored over the weekend, so I put the rear plate on the scanner. It's too hot to do any car-related stuff outside, so that was as close as I could come. :D
Neon is a VERY cool idea...
