Vette Vues article #4 on #29

Actually, I looked at #029's headlamp assys at Old Town and one pair was stamped "46" while the other pair was stamped "31." (Sorry, Ken; that's my memory and I'm stickin' to it!) :D Also, I had the opportunity to observe #014 some 30 years ago; it's headlamp assys were stamped "14" and "16."

News: Trip map 48 state visit with 30 year + owners

I don't know if you have info on John Luther in Palm Coast FL. He bought his black 57 FI new and still drives it. While I don't qualify since I bought my 57 in 91, I did buy it from the original owner's widow...

    Concept Cars

That was George McGriff, the engineering liason between GM Parts Fabrication in Detroit and the Flint plant. There's a lesser-known picture of the first production Corvettes that is similar but not "staged". George is the driver of the first car! Among other things, Steve Koss (GM engineer who...

Damn, John! That was at the dealership during the parade! Ya mean I missed it? I guess I was too preoccupied with 1) all the 53's puking coolant (you can see some in both of your pictures - that was one hot afternoon!); and 2) speaking with Billy Durant's (great?)grandson!

    The Motorhead Lounge is Started!

Things still happen..only much s l o w e r than before (of course, a case of lackadinero disease has been detected as well...). I found this nifty item at Sarasota Architectural Salvage marked down to $50, so I couldn't resist: It's 75" wide by 84" tall and has 116 plastic bins for file...

How About A Happy 53 Thread???

Russ, that pic was taken in CO on the NCRS road tour to Monterey, 2002. the next day I buried the speedo (x3!) on US 50 in NV, but couldn't bring myself to take a hand off the wheel to grab the camera! I've had a buncha fun with my 57. Road Atlanta: Atlanta Motor Speedway: I will...
