I happen to have found a number of NOS original 1997 Corvette Owner's Video (VHS) tapes. This is what came with a new 97 Corvette. (Not CDs or DVDs in 97...yes, you could get an optional in-dash CD player but the optional 12-disc changer came with an in-dash cassette player! ;shrug I know, I got...
I vote heart and drive it like you stole it! :thumb
Same trip (but a few days later):
IMO, if GM had intended for these cars to be Trailer Queens and Garage Candy there would have been an option for 4 electric motors (1 at each wheel) and engine delete!
PS: Happy birthday!

thank you and I am glad you enjoyed it!
This is great! Especially the last sentence!:rotfl
Geez, Tyler; I'm a notary! (And on those tires I wouldn'tve driven it either!)
As to the "kit" car route - I'll betcha dolla there's a serial number stamped on that IN #029 frame; just got a "4" where there should be a "3"
Rob, I forgot to tell you why #056 has a metal hood. GM upper mgmt was concerned that the engine heat would delaminate the fiberglass, so George McGriff built one. Since their testing was not able to show any delamination no more metal hoods were built. Ya want pics?
Rob, if you're being a hardass, let me introduce myself; I'm the new CEO of GM! :rotfl
Lessee about that CF thread. I PMd between myself and two different Mods; only one responded stating (among other things) he was trying to protect the hobby. (Please wait while I pull up my brown socks -...
Wait a minute..if #259 was allegedly turned into the '54 Motorama Corvair what's it doing with a hardtop? The Corvair was a coupe. (Never mind that another '54 Motorama Corvette had a hardtop but no production Corvettes did). Is it a Plasticon? Oh wait, rebodied. Yeah, that's it.
A long time ago when I had my 58 (probably 1979-80) I was driving home from work one afternoon and stopped at a traffic light. Two young (Jr Hi?) girls crossed the street in front of me. One turned around, came back to my car, leaned forward, and then yelled to the other "yeah Julie, it IS a...
For those not accustomed to censorship, here's my original CF post:
I happened to be browsing the C1 Forum and came across this interesting tidbit in a thread about "Re-Stamping/"replica cars":
by the way, here is some more discussion that is highly relevant to this topic...
Rob,
I'll get you the info I have via PM or offline to keep it safe. The car I know is a two-owner car with title work back to at least the early 60s. It's been in FL since the 90s. I'll post my original CF thread post here this evening (since I've been banned from CF until Sat).
Hey, this is gettin' fun! From CF today:

And yet, the admin/mods on this forum don't seem to mind. Exactly why I prefer this place (and why Garage Depot got my MHL thread)!
Tom, thank you!
I still am interested in the hobby and don't want to read that all 326 of the original 300 1953 Corvettes have been found (less the one I...
