Ported I think you will be ok w/o a tune if you go to a larger size like a 90mm you will not get the full potential w/o a tune. With the TB being such a small increase in performance by itself you might look at a larger intake and headers at the same time.
If you are going to make it breath...
I start with washing the car with Dawn dish soap to strip off any old wax. Then I clay bar the car to get all the micro dirt in the paint off. I'm currently using a Mothers clay bar but I have some from Zaino when this gets trashed. I just used my Portal Cable 7424 for the first time and all...
I had to replace one of my rear shocks @ 30k miles because it was leaking the rest are fine. You can find replacements for around $400 each if you look hard. I bought a used set with 15k miles on them for a good price. I figured even with 15k on them they have to be better than a leaky shock...
Make sure to pull the codes from the DIC. Write them down and look them up. The ones with the "h" are history codes "c" is current issues. If nothing else it will give you some history on the cars issues.
I would try reprogramming the sensors first cuz its free but it sounds like the sensor is dead to me. Just be lucky you have the 01' sensors they are a lot less expensive to replace than 97'-00'
I would say no. You have two different diameter tires there. A 295/45 is larger than a 295/35. The computer would see one tire rotating faster than the other which would cause the traction control system to think you are spinning the tires.
When gas spiked up to $4+ a gal. they started putting 10% ethanol in all grades of fuel around central TN. Ever since all gas pumps around here have a sticker on them stating all grades contain up to 10% ethanol.
Finally!!
After saving my pennies I finally got them!!
CCW 505a 19"s front and back with nitto INVOs
The back sit lower than it looks. I just backed it out of the garage from putting them on.
Sorry for the bad cell phone picture.
So we have determined its a belt/pulley or harmonic balancer squeal. Next you have to determine which one of those that's causing the noise. I would try spraying some soapy water on one belt at a time and rev the engine to see if the squeal goes away. Once you find your noisy belt replace it...
LBSTYL,
If you rev the engine while in park does it squeal?
Does the squeal change pitch or get louder the higher the RPMs are?
or
Does the squeal change pitch or get louder with the speed of the car?
Does the squeal come from the front of the car or the back?
As others have mentioned it...
Nice catch NJ! I didnt even notice the lambo doors in the pict. I would guess you are correct on this.
JM, being that the car is new to you I would check all the grounds. There are grounds right behind both headlights, some by the door hinges (if i remember right they are behind the kick...
Is it a consistent noise or does the pitch change with engine RPM? Does the squeal change pitch with the speed of the car? I am assuming that when the car is stationary their is no squeal.
Typically this is due to pressing down on the accelerator to hard to fast. Depending on how long the accelerator is held down you may also see smoke. :chuckle Sorry I couldn't resist.
