    Wanna hear my BB?

I made another short video of my BB ideling @ about 800rpm & reving to about 3500. The idle sounds high on the video, but I think the solid lifters make it sound like it's idling higher. I didn't use an actual video camera, but my Sony Mavica CD400 which is actually a digital camera which can...

New Member with Big Block questions

You can put any HP/TQ stickers you want on any BB.. I saw a C1 with a 454 installed and the owner had the huge valve covers re-worked to incorporate 327 labels etc. Funny thing, people walking by, believed it. :L Is that really a 327? :W

New Member with Big Block questions

1970. I started from scratch with an '87 454 block. Only parts I kept was the crank, connecting rods and balancer, everything else is new. Here's some info from my site: http://temp.corvetteforum.net/c3/themoneypit/index9.shtml Don't know about you, but I wouldn't be able to tell the...

Proof that this C2 is a driver

I bought a set of shaved hinges from a forum member. I know I have a C3 but should be the same. Actually he had someone cut out 1/4 in or so and then reweld them & smooth out.

    machining costs

From my site: My thinking was that since the block was going to be in the shop, I might as well have everything done. I think the total bill was $1,500. Here's a pic right after basic install.

    Big Block swap

I usually use my Sony Mavica CD400 which records the pic directly onto a CD. I have the setting for hi-resolution 1200x??? and then downsize the pic once I get it into Photoshop. Great job you've done there. If it weren't for positive reinforcement and help from this forum, my car would...

Anyone ever use Bar's Leaks Radiator Stop Leak?

I've used it many times over the years. Saved me time and money. If Barr's Leak didn't work, I knew I needed a new radiator. Used it on my vette too. Bought me a few years, I knew I wanted to swap in an aluminum rad and didn't want to have the original re-cored.

Big Block Radiator in a SBC?

I don't see why not. That's what the previous owner did to my SB. Had a '73-74 radiator in it. In '73 & 74 all the radiators were the same 27". That's what I upgraded when I swapped in my BB, only it was a DeWitt's aluminum 27" with dual Spal elec fans.

    I need a racing harness.

I got the C5 seats finally(thanks FastcashDave). Now I need a harness. What's a good racing harness to use? What are you guys using? I saw a few different lengths being offered too. I heard Simpson started up again? Worth the price? Also advised to get "cam-locks"? Opinions?
