Thanks.
I'm using 16X8 with 4 inch backspacing. The problem with wheel fitment is the Corvette's large calipers. These are American Racing Torque Thrust II's and they clear the calipers just fine....no spacers and no grinding. Some wheels, like the Torque Thrust D's do not clear the...
Yeah, its the shifter linkage. I have a new Hurst competition plus shifter and the reverse rod need some adjustment. I I think the threads on the rod were a little short.
I hope that's all it was.
Well, the engine, drivetrain and front suspension are rebuilt.
It was a very short trip into the garage, but under its own power for the first time in 2 months. I still suspect a problem with reverse so I didn't want to push things. Tranny was stuck in reverse preventing me from rotating the...
I think it's more like, "Imagine how much longer it would have taken if I weren't on sick leave." :D
With all the problems I've had since the engine was in, I'm guessing it would have taken me at least another year to get to this point. Working as I have, on & off on some weekends as time...

I am so Miffed! I shoulda stuck with the manual...
Holy crap!

I've been working off the wrong drawing which also happens to match how my SB is setup. I don't know where i got it. How bizarre is that.
You're correct, my caps are ALL off by one. That's how my SB was setup when I bought it.
I don't think I'll be able to...
Once I get the fuel pump & fans fixed, I'll be able to let her run longer. The carb, distributor, rotor, cap and wires all came from my well tuned SB about a month ago.
I examined all the plug wires yesterday and the coil wire again this morning. I couldn't find any problems.
I started...
I replaced the carb gasket, and ran a new vacuum line to the canister. I pushed the distributor further back CCW. Can't go any more because the tach cable is hitting the firewall. I had to try to start it now to take advantage of my spotter who came home from school but has to go back soon for a...
