    SHOCKS

I'm have a completely new stock suspension (rubber). Original front coils and a new replacement rear 9 leaf, as well as new Goodyear 205/70 R-15's on my 64. I'm using Bilsien HD's. I could drive this car 10 hrs a day (would say 12 hrs but I need new seat cushions). Very comfortable and well...

$90.00 In Glue And Counting...Almost As Much As The Carpet...!!!

Geez Mark, This is starting to look like one of Barry's posts..... Up to 5 pages already. If you think your carpet is hard to do, you should try the 63/64 version with all those little pieces.....

new addition to the family :)

Holy Moley!!! What a great find. You've been pretty sneaky keeping that deal under wraps... ;) Gonna be ready for Carlisle this year? Guess you don't need AC in your car anymore.... Linda has her own..

    Pilot Bushing from Mars?

Hopefully VNV will post here... We ran into the same problem when we put the 5 speed in his small block 65. He ran to the parts store and came back with a bushing that was the correct size.

    Barry re A/C Install

Barry, the WP pulley is a smaller diameter and is not a deep groove pulley. It needs to change so everything lines up. The parts I spec'ed out are all the parts a "stock" L76/L79 w/C60 came with from the factory. I figure GM engineered these parts for a reason.

How much do you drive your C1- C2?

I drive my 64 just about every day. The only time it stays home is if there's snow coming or it's going to be raining cats and dogs. It's my daily commuter to work and shopping trips where I don't need the truck.

    B-J Auction

Here's my stupid question of the day...... 1983 Corvette????? As far as I remember, there ain't no such thing........ As I recall, the 83 was not ready for production at the end of 1982, so it's release was delayed and finally came out as a 1984 model.

And....What Would Be Your Ideas For this Problem...???

Take off that hi-rise manifold and put a tri-power setup on it with the triangular air cleaner. It will clear everything, and it looks cool, too.

    Duntov “097” vs 30-30 Camshaft

The rough idle is still there but not as pronounced as the 30-30. More lope than the L-79 (350hp) cam.

    C2 battery....part TWO

To disconnect the clock, you have to reach behind it and pull off the connector. Easiest with the glove box removed, but can be done with one of the radio side panels removed if you arms/hands are small enough.

    Duntov “097” vs 30-30 Camshaft

I'm running stock '64 300hp (.060 over) replacement pistons (brand unknown), and stock 461 heads with 1.94/1.50 valves (as came with the 300hp engine. Head gaskets are single standard steel shim gaskets (I didn't measure the thickness). The CR is assumed as the shortblock was originally built...

    need a new radio

I know it cost more than a rebuild, and I waffled on what I wanted to do for almost a year. Since my car is pretty far from original with the recent frame repair, upgraded engine, A/C, P/S, sidepipes, I figured "what the heck" and went with the conversion. I guess the price includes having...

    need a new radio

Yes, Buttons work as before, as do the station tuning knob, volume, balance control (it has other functions as well) and AM/FM slider. If you've read all the way down the original post, I also explained how the balance and fader controls work. For what it is, I'm still very happy with the...

    JL66RedCpe's New Garage

John, Great looking toy chest! A bit wider than mine. How deep is it? Mine ended up at 24W X 32D. When it's clean, I can get the 64 in it sideways at the back and still have room for the wife's Z3 and my Suburban, and still get to the work bench.

    Duntov “097” vs 30-30 Camshaft

I'm running a .060 over 327 with 10.5:1 compression and an LT-1 solid lifter cam @ 12*BTDC initial timing with no detonation problems on 93 octane. While not an original L76 car, the trans is a WR M20 pushing a 3.36 rear. The lower 1st gear of the WR trans works well in this combo. The torque...

    C2 battery issues.....thoughts?

When I first got my 64, I had a similar problem... Turned out to be the glove box light staying on when the glove box was closed. Couldn't see the light when the glove box was closed. I chased the problem for several weeks.
