If I remember correctly, the 65 396 radiator still used an expansion tank, as did the real 67 L-88's. If the sole purpose of the upgrade is to eliminate the expansion tank, then a 66 rad support and 427 radiator will be required.
As I recall, the hood was modified extensively to give the look of a stock stinger and still allow the intake manifold to fit. The manifold was modified also. The ramjet is a pretty big manifold.
Somewhere in the archives was a post (by Midyear) on all that needed to be done to get the look.
I've got 205/70-R15's all around including the spare. Spare fits in the original tub. I've got KO's so I went for the longer front hanger bolts and lock bolt.
Larry, how about under the bumper, centered between the two tail lights, using a C2 backup light set or an inboard 62 taillight housing with a clear lens and single filament bulb socket. Not sure the angle is correct. It would almost look like the tailpipe bezels on a midyear.
Or... How about...
Look like the concensus of opinion (on both forums) is Centerforce, although I'm sure some other vendor supplies them.
I'm sure, just like my fuel pump, I just got a bad one from NAPA. The box had so much dust on it, it was probably sitting on a shelf for the last 20 years. Old grease must...
Anyone know where to get a QUALITY throwout bearing???
When I bought the car in 2001, the throwout bearing that was in there was already starting to chatter, I replaced the clutch, etc.. in 2002 with a LUK setup including the supplied throwout bearing. That one lasted about 9 months and was...
Oh, Boy!!! This is going to be fun......;LOL
I'll let Barry do all the typing and photographing. Then you guys can bust on him rather than me. Should be an "interesting" winter project.
Barry will be doing some wrenching also. It's his system and he may as well know how it went...
Barry, this is what the adjusting screw loos like when not installed to the seat.

The same thing happend to my 62 many years ago. When disassembled, the problem was the ring gear bolts had all sheared off. I was running 4.88's with a ring gear spacer. Guess that setup wasn't strong enough. Reloaded with a set of 4.56's without a spacer and no problems until I lost the car...
Yup, the white bumpers are what the adjustment screws sit on. The adjustment screws are large headed slotted screws, that screw into the bottom of the seat backs. Turn them out a few turns at a time until you get the seats where they should be.
Barry, I know you like your seats as far back as possible due to your height, but you can adjust the backrest to sit a little more straight up. This will keep the bottom of the seatback from sitting on the piping. The adjustment screws are on the bottom of the seatback.
Both pumps were AC Delco's. If it fails again, I'll rebuild it myself. At least I'll have my own quality control. I'll also replace that pressed-in pin with a clevis pin and clip as the originals were built.
Sorry I missed you at Carlisle too. I was about 7-8 cars down from Barry's. White...
Update
Well, I think I found the problem with the new fuel pump. I used all the suggestions posted above just to make sure I hadn't missed anything... Thanks everyone....
Checked the pump rod for straightness.. Perfect.
Checked the pup rod travel.. 3/8"
Checked the pump lever travel...

I haven't tried to find steel wheels or wheel covers. Others will chime in on those.
The missing pin was the first problem I ran into last week. Subsequent disassembly revealed that the spring had broken in half also. That's why I had to replace the pump in the first place. This time I'm leaning towards a broken or dislodged spring, since the pin is still in there. Haven't...
