    A/C install

I remember that post, but as I had limited fabrication facilities, it was easier for me to buy a new one. Good solution though. Better than those spacers in the VA kit.

    A/C install

The waterpump pulley is a slightly smaller diameter. Don't know why GM engineers spec'd that one, but I got it because they did. It will make the waterpump and fan spin a little faster. Your original will probably work fine if you don't care to change it. I would think most people don't change...

    Getting frustrated.... Broke again

During the rebuild this past spring, I replaced the tank, fuel pickup screen, all rubber lines and new stainless fuel line. In the last week, I've replaced the fuel filter and finally the fuel pump. 700 mile round trip over the weekend, no problems... today, dead. When I got home today, I...

    A/C install

Due to the unique pulley setup on L76 with A/C, the idler pulley is not used. The alt belt moves to the inboard belt grooves on the WP and crank pulleys and the outboard pulley grooves are used for the compressor belt. (so says the 65 AIM)

    New Fuel Injection

If you think about it and you really wanted fuel injection... That's about $2K less than you can get an original mechanical setup for these days. And I'm sure it's a bit more reliable once properly set up.

    Getting frustrated.... Broke again

For those who read my posts last week, I had to do a quick fuel pump replacement last Wednesday so I could make the run to Carlisle on Thursday. The car ran great and made it 700 miles round trip without a hiccup. When I got home this past Monday evening, I put the car back into the garage and...

    A/C install

Posted an answer on the other forum. I used the Classic Air kit, but put the drivers side air duct all the way to the left like the VA kit. As far as the hood release bracket that needs to be moved, I bought the "correct" Hood release bracket and cable from LICS for original A/C cars. It is...

    Exhaust ports

I still have the empty exhaust bezels on my sidepipe car. I like the look... kinda balances out the taillights. I'm going to put a couple of clear lights that will fit in there to use as backup lights. If I can do it the way I want, I'll use the stock clear backup lenses. That way, the...

Barry, all this gushing could cause a guy to get a little embarrased..... I'm just sharing the knowledge, but I'm happy that my help gets Baby a little better. Anytime....... Since the wives are now getting into this Corvette thing (or not), maybe we should ask Rob to add another Forum for...
