I have a 383 and the flywheel is balanced with the crank and rods as a complete assembly. Perhaps that is why I didnt have to balance the flywheel. I had not read of anyone having to balance a flywheel before because of a 5 speed change out.....

you dont mean balance of the flywheel do you? dont you mean alignment of the bellhousing to the crankshaft?

no, there are 2 tapped holes.....call Hurst Driveline, they will take care of you....I would get you a photo of existing set up, but car is in trailer out in back garage.....

this was my original set up that came out of the car, which wasnt correct to begin with....but what I had to work with...it bolted right up here is the McLeods bell housing.....I got POR15 happy and painted it black....

I wish I could give you some good advice on the flywheel, clutch and bell housing....in my case I bought from Hurst Drivelines my 5 speed tranny along with a McLeods bellhousing, clutch and pressure plate. All of the mated up nicely.....so I didn't have the bubba stuff to deal with in that area...
