ok I am going to buy 4 17x8 american racing tqII's and I want to put 235/40/17 on the front and 245/40/17 on the rear there should not be a problem this this at all should there be? Can I squeeze a bigger tire on a 8" rim? like a 255? Or should I stick with the original plan? Thanks. John Dykstra

I am almost 100% stuck on torque thrust II's but I see them so much is there any other rim that would look good on a 81 vette? I am putting rims on, painting it, and putting sidepipes on as a winter project so Let me see your pics either post um here or send them to my e-mail address...

I have asked before but to no avail I have recently purchased a california car an 81...I now live in Wiscosin and there are not any smog regulations where I live...I want to take all of the smog junk off of there because I do not need it I know it must take some hp to run since it is belt driven...

I have a 81 and I am going to change the color it is mahogany metallic right now and I am thinking, I will paint it eiter carmine red or a dark metallic blue and put some american racing torque thrusts on there what do you think?? John Dykstra

for sure I have been to over 145 because that is when the 96 vette I was next to could not pull anymore and I passed them so like 150-155 :) then I backed off just wanted to prove I could do it. I would like to run faster but I need z rated tires before I do that... John Dykstra
