there isn't (in the conventional audio way). The AUX input is indeed for the rear mount CD changer. On 1999 thru 2004 C5's there is a factory run harness from the rear of the radio to the passenger footwell. (There are reports of 1997 and early 1998 C5's not having this first harness installed.)...
right. Here is what I have listed for the new-style updated part numbers:
center-shaft seal: 24207010
O-ring: 12369456
(these for the A4 seal plate)
89047953 (new revision) side plate outer "O" ring seal (use with anerobic sealer)
88996703 (new revision) output shaft(s) center seal

poor mans rotor puller:
this worked perfectly for one side, but for the other side I still needed to nudge the rotor with a rubber mallet. Popped right off.
how to: change rear axle ratio -

how to: determine your C5's current rear axle ratio -

where did you get this information from?
maybe you should read here:

seems the discounting started in Jan 2005.
yes, but you need an aftermarket gizmo to use it. Look at the P.I.E GM-10AUX (or it may be the GM10-AUX or GMAUX-10). I am using it on my C5 stock head unit - feeding a MP3 player through.
the one pictured is not my cover; but the person who originally gave me the idea. But he and I both painted the body colored borders. The only variation I did on mine (versus the red one pictured) is it that a radiused the inside corners more to mimick the overall shape of the cover.
It was...
yep; the reason to reprog is like what you stated - except it's more to keep from invoking the limp mode- due to the disparity between front/rear as you described. The same can be accomplished my maintaining a rear sim voltage that is always on the good side of system normalcy.
And of course...
c4c5specialist; that's some cool info and describes what must happen for a trouble free remote start operation.
And there are systems to follow those quidelines - perfectly.
But the post originator was not talking about aftermarket alarms... but just remote starters. And the key key on a C5...
I missed these.
No smells and no codes. I've been driving for 2.5 years since.
From what I've read, the pup-cats purpose is for cold startup only. They help the main cats get lit quicker. The main cats are there to do all the smog removal.
Once the main cats are up to normal operating...
OK, I now get it. Some people are allowed to state "the world is flat" and if it's "certain" people... then it's not to be corrected.
and a moderator knows enough about remote starters to claim the poster couldn't be guessing ???
Blind-faith is not a good thing.
That's OK. It's your forum...
so am I lying here????
Common sense does have a place in trying to help others. Lets just label it as "IMO", or "I think there will be a problem" ... or "will there be a problem with the ....?"
I know of no remote starter systems that try to individually power up the PCM, BCM, or any other...
only if the car is a Subaru. From that text:
"This page details some of the more important diagnostic data that may be retrieved from Subaru vehicles via DeltaDash or the Subaru 'Select Monitor'"
I thought we were talking about the LS1 C5 setup ???
Hib Haverson's text is strictly dealing...
I asked you to "source" your "facts"... not to just repeat your post all over again.
Remote starters (like the ones sold by Bulldog - the ones I am familiar with) simulate the turning of the ignition key... electroncally. By doing it that way, there is no concern over powering up individual...
since this is quite incorrect; I wonder if there is a way for a forum moderator to edit that post where this claim was made. It'd ba a shame for someone (months from now) to find this tread via a "search" and come away with the wrong info.
I gotta agree with that. :yesnod:
it's a free mod; so how does one determine worth ? I think it's not as much an HP mod as it is a deepening of the exhaust note.
And also, you can give AlGore an ulcer by gutting the precats. How much is that worth ?????
But one can only come to the conclusion that the pup cats do...

c. Some of you are fast typists, and had the answer posted before i got everything typed !!!!
:)
the best thing for all of us here is to label your answers as either:
* prove-able fact.
* good judgement derived from experience... but not specifically with this exact subject/system...
