b. guessing, but not labeling your response as a "guess".

In 1997 and 1998 C5 model years, there was some concern over this. But it has nothhing to do with whether the head unit has a Cassette or not... and EVERYTHING to do if whether the head unit has a button labled "AUX" or not.
As long as your factory head unit has an "AUX" button, a remote CD...
With my MP3 setup, I first tried the FM modulator connection method. I didn't have a problem with finding an unused area of the dial to get a clean signal either.

Try driving figure "8"'s in a huge - open parking lot (look out for lamp posts). This gets the fluid into the clutch packs.
there is not an industry spec for the "EMT" designation that dictates 200 miles with zero pressure. I don't really berlieve that the average driver knows they can go a full 200 miles on GY EMT's. Many will just pull over at the very next exit and get the tire fixed anyways.

yes. There was a major rewrite of the AH and tranny software in 2001. And midway through the 2001 model year the LS1 got the LS6 intake manifold, the LS6 block, and the larger diameter MAF.
Also, 2001 was the first year that Active Hamdling became standard equipment.
