Thoughts on this 16k mile C4 Corvette for sale?

An automatic in an '84 is not a down side. The manual in the early C4s was the Doug-Nash 4+3. I'd look for a newer C4 with the 6-sp manual or consider the auto.

Question: What do guys carry for emergency flat tire issue?

Guess I'm crazy also. My Vette and the wife's ATS have them, plus everything I said above.

Question: What do guys carry for emergency flat tire issue?

Two things: 1) a GM OEM emergency inflation pump with the sealant canister. 2) a tire plugging kit. If the nail/screw/whatever is in a position where I can plug it, I do that. If not, I use the sealant and tire pump to keep the tire inflated, then take the car to a tire shop where it can be...

    C5 Gas Gauge finally died.

I had good luck with BG 44K fuel system cleaner with my C5s. You can find it at most NAPA stores.

    What to do?

Since my wife and I are both retired, we've been doing volunteer work around the community. Most of those are shut down now and we've got no where to go. All the car shows have been cancelled or postponed. I'll put on my own little car show in my driveway but I won't be gripping and grinning...

    What to do?

Since most of us are in "stay home" or "lockdown" mode, my wife decided I needed something to do beside watch TV. So, yesterday, I washed, clay barred and waxed the Tuna-Sport and Speed Wagon. C-Magic car wash soap, Clay Magic clay bar (fine), C-Magic Wax and C-Magic Detail Wax. I'll finish...

    C-6 dependability

I've had 3 C6s: 06 paddle shift coupe, 08 stick shift vert and a 13 stick shift vert. The 08 gave me the most trouble but it was all handled under warranty. I drove it for over 4 years. The clutch pedal stuck to the floor once early in life. Repaired and had no more trouble from it. The...

    Buying a C6 opinions

My wife and I have owned 3 C6s - still have one. An '06 auto coupe, an '08 manual vert, a '13 manual vert. I liked the idea of the paddle shift car, so I sold my manual C4 to get one. The early paddle shift C6s are good if not great daily drivers. My wife ended up with it and put it in Sport...

    Grand Sport Road Trip

Michelin Pilot A/S 3+ or A/S 4+ - great all year tire. High tread wear rating, works when the temps are below 40 and is good in the rain.

    Question: Tires

Probably not safe. Tires do age - even sitting on the shelf, they age. While that may look okay, they should be replaced. Why take a chance on your life.

Welcome to the CAC! There are quite a few C4 experts around and I'm sure someone will jump in and help. However, I've got a couple of ideas: Clean the throttle body and make sure the Idle Air Circuit is clean. Check the fuel pressure and make sure it is right. I'd also add some fuel system...
