Blue Bullet Blog-The C6 Ownership Experience

Thanks Hib, My PS2s lasted 26,000. I switched to SuperSports and that 427 now has 46,000. By testy, I mean that they hydroplane more quickly than when they were new. Of course, they only have 3-4 mm tread left. Since I don't drive it much in the winter, I'll probably be looking at new SS's...

Blue Bullet Blog-The C6 Ownership Experience

I have the Super Sport ZPs on my 427 Vert. They are okay in the rain with full tread depth. After 20,000 miles, they get a little testy in the rain. Since I rarely max perform my 427, I'd like to find a good all season tire for it but Michelin keeps telling me that they are not making the A/S...

Could Active Aerodynamics Be Coming to the Corvette?

Active aerodynamics on autos has for a very long time. Jim Hall had manually activated wings and other devices on his Chaparral sports cars back in the 1960's. After a major failure of the moveable wing on one of them, the Can-Am sanctioning body outlawed moveable aerodynamic devices. Similar...

    New 427 owner

Good deal for you. Some people just don't want to drive a car that was meant to be driven. Go figure. My 427 has 45.5K now.

Help! Valve guide wear on ZO6 427 engine

TooFast: I'm going to leave my engine alone. I don't like doing unnecessary work. Hib: When did GM "fix" the 427 valve problem?

Help! 2013 corvette grand sport 1LT paddle shifting

It's almost impossible to be paying attention to the speed when downshifting in a racing context, so the manual's speeds are probably just for a 'later' reference. I owned a paddle shift '06 and found that if would not downshift if doing so would put the engine over the rev limit. I assume the...

Requesting help with opening driver door

Without battery power, the door window will not 'index' down to clear the weather stripping. So, just pulling the release in the trunk my not pop the door open enough to clear the weather stripping without a little help. Then the second latch locks the door ajar.
