I bought my 2000 last March after several months of searching. If you are like me, you will know the one when you find it. Take your time to look over what's out there. If you are as lucky as I was to find the perfect one, enjoy it! The C5's are great cars and can be used as daily drivers or the...
Hey, FB REF I just ran across this thread and I am glad to hear that you have good things to say about Medved, they are not far from my house. I haven't had the need for any major work but I will keep them in mind, if I do. Thanks for the information.
Thank goodness I saw this posting my 2000 started squeeking a couple of weeks ago and I'd had the time to look into the problem. Now, I will be able to go right to the possible problem areas.
I thought I would share a picture of my grandson and myself with our Corvettes. I had just finished painting him Vette to match mine and he was excited. He drove it around telling everyone that his grandpa had painted it for him. I got a new battery for it before I gave it back to him, both were...

My 2000 has that figure and my grandson loves to go for a quick spin now and then. I bought my vert in March of this year with just under 36000 miles and I could not be more pleased. I would echo the advice of others, get the newest, lowest mileage C5 that you can afford and drive the heck out...
I have had the Low Fuel warning when I start up a few times. I am usually on my way to fill up any way but I have noticed that as I drive the gauge will creep back up to about an eighth of a tank by the time I get to the station (about a mile).
It is possible. I bought a flat plastic license plate protecter from a chain auto parts store and it works just fine with the surround that I just received. It was a little tight but it does fit and if you have to have a front plate it isn't a bad alternative.
