OK, I'll admit that I already posted a picture of my 89 convertible on this thread but that was post #49 on November 1, 2007 and it was sort of a winter shot. So after looking at all of the other great cars here over the last 8+ months I'm going to post a summer shot taken a couple of days ago...
Thanks for the pictures - it looks great but I goofed and though you were selling one of the aftermarket carpets that lays on top of the carpet that came with the car. Nice piece though, so this should sell easily.
Some of the earlier C4s had cloth seats but I didn't know there were any 89's with cloth seats? Are they original to the car?
From the Model center on this site the total production for 89 was 26,412 units and 23,364 of those had base leather - when you add in the sport seats for US(1777)...
That's a good deal even with the cost of getting it home.
On those long distance purchases you have to add the cost of getting the car home (and cost of your time) to the $23,500 to get the true cost of your acquisition.
Great choice since the yellow ones are the fastest! :upthumbs
Yea, I couldn't get your emblems off so I left 'em loose. :D:D
Actually I ordered a C5 emblem and was sent a C6 emblem - called the company three times and they said they would send the C5 emblem and a postage paid return for the C6 emblem - they never did!
For your first Corvette you picked one of the best ever. Good luck with it. Is your car stock? Maybe the prior owner made a few minor changes that he figured added 20hp so he upgraded to the Z06-405hp insigna to reflect the improvements? Or maybe he just wanted it to look faster!
Hmmmm ...
We'll I guess your OK and you will at least get a new front end and eliminate any chips you had. Time was 4:30am? You are either a very early riser or last one to leave the party - I lived in Hollywood for a while 20+ years ago and there wasn't anything there - haven't been back since -...
Never could get my 1989 L98 past 20mpg on the highway even after all the usual stuff was replaced & tuned. (injectors, wires, plugs, fuel filter, sensors, etc.) I have TPIS headers, open air lid and basically stock other than that.
Oh, 3:07 gears.
I just obtained the build sheet and window sticker from the NCM a couple of months ago for my 89 vert. They are nice additions to all the other "documentation" I obtained with the car or accumulated over the years. Now I think I have everything! :cool
