Mine leaks drops where the two seals meet in the middle of the window. If I wash the car and hit it with the hose water will leak in, but then again most any car where the window seals against the seal itself and doens't go up into the top of the door will do the same. As for the noise, I get...
Simplest way I found was to reach in from the front, push back the brake duct and move it to the side and then reach in and remove the socket. Pull the socket out the brake duct inlet and change the bulb. Installation is the reverse. No tools required, about 5 minutes and can be done anywhere.
Yup, same here. The headlight motors will clunk when you put extra power on if the battery is completely dead. Disconnect and then charge.
As for the draw, our new BMW will suck a new battery dry in a little over two weeks. A little bit of a concern if you leave it at the airport during...
I never had the problem until last fall and then both I and a friend with a 2000 started having the problems at the same time. I am very suspicious that when they switched to the "winter" fuel blend this was the root cause.
C4C5Specialist - When they do the re-program, does this re-program...
My daughter just ordered a GMC Envoy yesterday at the GM "Supplier" price. The GMS price was for employees. The dealer has been excellent and has showed us the invoice, GMS and GM Supplier prices on several vehicles. There are also rules that both the purchaser and the dealer must abide by...
There are a couple places that have them, Design Specialties is one of them. I also painted my own. It is very easy to remove and I just did it as a winter project the first year I had the car. I went over it first with three coats of flat black to seal the hood liner so it wouldn't absorb...
I have recently been watching the Halltech header development. They are titanium and according to Jim Hall can remove 60 lbs from your car. Not sure about the O2 sensor connections (whether he uses 4 or uses two sims in the rear like the LG's) and whether they are emissions compliant. The...
If you go to the service manual, it specifically states that an oil meeting ACEA A3 specifications is OK. I would use a synthetic meeting the ACEA A3 specification if I were in your place.
I have the Z51 in my convertible and find that ride to be very comfortable, even on long trips. I agree with the others that the Magna ride might be worth a look as those who have it rave about it. If you don't want this option, you can't go wrong with the Z51 IMHO.
I have been looking also, the best I have found is the LG long tube headers. Not only do they make good power, but their installation seems to be simpler then many of the others, especially the Kooks.
Maybe a sheet of plywood cut to size, but I think something should be done to keep the edge of the tires from resting on this lip for that long a period of time.
Yes, but look at the lip on the edge of the Rhinos, it is right under the side wall of the tire. I wouldn't want to store my car on those for an extended period of time.
Not sure about the ramps. In theory, this should work, but I believe there is a lip on the edge of the ramp (have to go look at mine in the garage) and this will deform your tires to a weird shape for several months. You may just want to stack some cut up 2X12's to get the height you need...
I raise the rear wheels about 2" when I change my oil. It always takes 7 quarts to reach the full line. I put in 6.5, then check it the next day. It always needs that extra 0.5 quarts.
I have been using Amsoil since the first change and have also been having Terry Dyson conduct an oil analysis at each change. I have found that Amsoil is doing a good job and plan to stick with it. In general, Mobil-1 has not done as good a job with the LS-1 as some of the other oils. Mobil-1...
Same here, bought from Ken at a discount. I have a friend who has gotten his money's worth, and wouldn't own a Vette without one. He just renewed it again for another two years.
