If the cooling system coolant level is topped off, you should be able to bring it up to temp with the cap off the radiator. Once the T stat opens, and the pump starts circulating, the flow should be evident. Welcome to the Forums!! :w

I guess the first question to ask is what exactly are you looking for? Aside from tuning, what are you wanting to accomplish? I don't know of any "Book", but as has been suggested there are places to conduct research.

Is the coolant at the correct level? What is the condition of the coolant? Look at it, is it clean looking? It is possible you are low, and are seeing incorrect readings. Bottom line is, you need to start somewhere and work to a solution.

I sincerely hope this works out well for you. I've been screwed over by a shop, and they made it right.

What is your coolant level? Also, when you replaced the thermostat did you add any coolant?

Do you recall what the conditions of the test were? I would imagine traction was an issue for the 427. :) That sounds like an excellent price. I've seen a few while doing searches and usually the prices are at least 15k higher than what you've seen.

Pauls new ride!!! Seems Paul has left the C5's after his little mishap. This sounds like it could be an incredible find for someone. Do you know of the car, or know personally who is getting rid of it? You might think about posting it up in the C5 for sale section.

These were on my car for a year ish. Replaced with Dynamax ultra flow for performance reasons. No measureable performance gain was made. The current price on summit racing is 160 a piece. I'll take 175 for the pair. Buyer to pay shipping.
