Just a note to boast about my "new to me" C5. Just returned from Dallas, TX where my wife and I picked up the addition to our Corvette family. I am going to have my C3 and she will drive the C5. I have tons of questions about the C5 but that will come later. :J
EDIT: You had an extra h t t p...
The calipers and rotors are from O'reilly auto parts, both are wagner and lifetime warranty. I painted both with caliper paint that I also got at O'reilly. I sent my whole trailing arm assembly to Classic Corvettes and Mike checked everything over. The trailing arms themselves were too rusted...
Well, the winter project is over. After more than two months in a buddies shop, I finally have my ride back. I will try to post a few pics but usually don't have much luck. Just to list a few items: 6 new spicer HD u-joints, new calipers/pads and hubs, new trailing arms because mine were too...
I went to a salvage yard and got a set from out of an 80's Chevy Camaro. The rear seat belts fit perfect with the shoulder strap and all. Found some black ones and got them for a song and a dance.

Thanks for the info, I am having the control valve and slave cylinder replaced for the second time because of poor performance after the first time. I am putting in rebuilt so things can happen. I just want to make sure that all the hoses are going to and from the right places...
I am trying to find a diagram or photo of the proper connection for the power steering hoses from the pump to the control valve to the power cylinder. I think that the mechanic that replaced them may have mixed them up. My assembly manual is at the mechanic's shop that is working on it now...
I would be glad to adopt your C5 and keep her down here in Louisiana where she can run year round. You would be welcome to visit anytime. My C3 could use the company.

I agree. Down here in the south we get lots of good winter days to take the vette out. Even when its cold I put the top down and put on a big coat. I don't think I have ever taken mine out and not gotten at least one wave or horn blowing or someone making a comment about my vette.
I have my Vette at the shop and the mechanic is going to pull the trailing arms off so that I can send them to be rebuilt. I have done a lot of research and there are a lot of companies out there that will rebuild them. I am afraid of being scammed on the core charges because I believe that...
My 75's is not painted, it is a goldish metal color. It was oxidized when I first got the car but used my wire wheel bench grinder to polish this stuff off. The final product was this goldish color.
I need some advice on this C5 on ebay. I know the mileage is a little high but what would be a fair price for this one? How rare is the targa top? This one seems to be very well kept.

thanks, Andy
I have a 75 with 44k original miles, all original interior and paint, not perfect but still nice and turns heads. I have opted to just drive and enjoy. Repair as needed.
Do what makes you happy, it's all about the ride.
I think you got a nice vette for a good price. Welcome to the world of vette ownership. Wait until you ride around and people honk and wave and make comments about how nice your car is. I still get it every time I take mine out.
Does anyone know if I could reach the right turn signal bulb from the center dash opening? I started to take the dr. dash off but found that to be way too much trouble for a single bulb. I can not reach it from the bottom. I read a thread about someone accessing it when they had their center...
Looks good from the outside; how many miles on engine? have you checked the usual areas for rust? a paint job can cover a lot of problems so be careful. Check to see how the doors and hood line up (crack gap). I noticed that the headlights were up in your photo and the lights off. Could...
