    help for a newbie!

how much are they asking for the ft. clip. All of the work involved in changing it is not something you want to do twice. I changed the front bumper on mine and went with the fiber flex from Eckler's and am very satisfied.

I need help from anyone who has done this. I am having a lot of trouble finding something that is going to be thick enough and not too thick...

Do you think the van blower is actually stronger than the original one would be with all new wiring? I looked at both together and the motor seems to be the same size with a different housing.

    Changing a blower motor

Ok, reading this thread gave me the motivation to go out and pull the blower motor since the high speed went out last night. Here is a blow by blow (pardon the pun). First I removed the radiator overflow bottle, three bolts accessed through the wheel well above the tire (rt. front). It was a...

    1976 Rear End Noise

Slow down on all of the mechanic work and try adding another bottle of anti-slip positrac additive and only use the GM brand. This took care of the exact problem on my 75. Use only GM diff. fluid with the proper additive and you shouldn't have anymore problem. The first time I changed the...

    Movie debut

I answered an ad in our local car club newsletter where a company in New Orleans was looking for classic cars in the late 60's to mid 70's. A film company was filming a movie in Baton Rouge called PDR (Philly Dept. of Rec.). The guy called and paid $150 a day for the car and $80 for the driver...

    Outer window seals

I am having trouble finding the outer window seals. I am not even sure if this is one piece or two. Right now there is just a large gap between the window and the chrome trim piece connected to the door. I need to replace both sides and the interior pieces are easy to locate and appear to...

    Bleeding master cylinder

If the old line was so rusted that it broke, there could be some rust that became lodged in the line or in a block. starting at the master cyl. go back to each point that you can open the line and try and bleed from there to see if there is any blockage. Good luck. Andy

    installing front speakers

Santa brought me a new stereo for my 75 convertible! I want to put a pair of speakers in the front and do not want to pull the dash to access the ones up there. I pulled off the kick panels on both sides and found a cut out on both sides that measures 4"X5 1/2". These were covered up with...
